He was in the RAF and he had a lot of stick form the solders when the Luftwaffe strafed and bombed them on the beach. He said it was one of the most depressing experience he ever had. Furthermore, he was enroute to Singapore in 1942 when it fell to the Japanese. Another lucky escape. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
HeadExam 1,783 #5 Posted April 21, 2015 The people of Britain, soldiers and civilians alike, mounted one of the greatest efforts against one of the most overwhelming foes in history. They are all hero's. Americans have never known what it is like to be under siege, it might do them good to realize much of their petty bickering is childish. They do not know what real problems are.
