neil 524 #1 Posted October 9, 2016 This is not your usual type of machine that you would find in the barn , it's my 1955 Bren Gun ,deactivated of coarse . Also I have some inert pineapple hand grenades . I used to use the Bren gun 303 machine gun on a regular basis when serving in the Army along with the SLR rifle the Bren is an awesome weapon and very powerful and accurate . This particular one was used by Paratroopers in the Suez conflict as it has the short barrel . 5 Stormin, C-101plowerpower, HeadExam and 2 others reacted to this
Triumph66 1,256 #2 Posted October 9, 2016 I carried a Bren gun myself and they are 'kin heavy. Real soldiers in those days!
Stormin 4,458 #3 Posted October 9, 2016 I once drove a bren gun carrier. Bit like a Ransome, but faster. 1 Triumph66 reacted to this
HeadExam 1,783 #4 Posted October 9, 2016 Similar to our M60A1, but heavier. I carried the M60 and had a two man squad lugging an extra barrel, tripod, and 4 cans of ammo. Also carried every other weapon in the armory. It was somewhat awkward, but my favorite was the M16A1 with the M203 grenade launcher attached. Man that was a sweet piece.
