factory 487 #1 Posted November 16, 2019 Just had a quick look at completed listings on ePay.com and found this strange looking O&R generator. The labelling for the generator output looks a bit homemade, as well as having the switch to select between 115V & 12V (instead of having a separate low voltage connector), the generator housing looks nicely made. JUST O&R 237 #2 Posted November 16, 2019 I seen that strange looking thing. Defoliation have never seen anything like that before
CNew 404 #3 Posted November 16, 2019 I assumed it was home made as well
pmackellow 2,738 #4 Posted November 16, 2019 As you say David it looks homemade, neat though !!
CNew 404 #5 Posted November 16, 2019 Yes, definitely cool to see how people put these little engines to use.
factory 487 #6 Posted November 16, 2019 If it is home-made then someone must have spent quite a while machining those housings, the engine (Model K) is the same as used on the Champ generators. Question is did anyone buy it? David
Wallfish 698 #7 Posted November 16, 2019 It was on there at a fair price and thought about it but just don't have the time for another generator. The listing did not have a pic of the output side when I saw it. There were quite a bit a small companies back then so not so sure it's homemade. But there are also quite a bunch of really skilled people out there too.
factory 487 #8 Posted November 16, 2019 There are a couple of generators from smaller companies that haven't turned up yet, the Krestronics Charge-R-Lite and the Nobco Power Beam, but this is neither of those, it could have had a band with the name & ratings like the TT generators. factory 487 #14 Posted November 17, 2019 The Krestronics and a few of the others from the 'unknown' thread have engines from the earliest batch of O&R's, so it's not surprizing that not much has survived. David
JUST O&R 237 #15 Posted November 21, 2019 I see its back on ebay.
factory 487 #16 Posted November 21, 2019 Have a closer look, the engine serial number is different, slightly less rust on the steel bits, no air filter and a bent foot. It's a second one, not so 'rare' after all then??? David
JUST O&R 237 #17 Posted November 21, 2019 looked the same to me.
CNew 404 #18 Posted November 22, 2019 Just saw it too and the seller confirmed it is a second one.
JUST O&R 237 #19 Posted November 22, 2019 It's like the green Foggers that were on ebay they Probably have a stack of them .
factory 487 #20 Posted November 22, 2019 I was thinking the same thing, that they may have a few of them, same as the seller that had half a dozen NOS foggers. David
