Unknown make trimmer

Recommended Posts

I've had this unknown O&R powered pole trimmer for a few years (thanks to Wallfish for his help), I'm not 100% sure of the intended use, if anyone has seen one or know what it is please let us know, the pictures below are from the ePay listing.

Here are some pictures of the engine & cutter assembly as it arrived and has been for a few years since.

Now that is a cool Trimmer, can’t wait to see that all put together!

It almost looks like some sort of harvesting tool. The bend in the tube and orientation of the handle looks like it would be carried waist high to cut the top a off of something. It’s interesting that the engine is nearly fully enclosed in the box shell.

HEY, that looks familiar. Certainly an interesting tool.

Hope you don't need help on assembly as it's been a long time since taking it apart to ship. :yankchain:

Hopefully not, I've taken lots of pictures during further disassembly to make sure I know where all the small parts go back.

Here is the back of the powerhead with the coupling for the flexible drive, note this uses a larger than normal tank (the lid of this is currently seized on).

Might be hard to see, but there are two long screws holding the cover in place.

Those were removed along with the air cleaner, allowing the cover to be removed, the extension for the cylinder baffle plate is loose once the cover is removed.

Note the stop button on the side of the cover, it contacts with the standard brass stop strip.

Possibly the only O&R where they had to build the engine up in the middle of the casing, don't know what they were thinking. :smoke:
