  1. I'd give either l&s engineers a call in Walsall or Midland Power and Machinery Distributors(MPMD) in Worcester. Otherwise I'd of thought any briggs dealer should be able to get one.
  2. The original silencer was a circular box that exited through the hole in the deck. As far as I'm aware these are no longer avaliable but as Anglo traction says the std briggs one will fit and work.

    New Welder

I am really please with it, perhaps not the tool if you're welding all day every day ( the reels of wire that it takes are too small for starters) but more than sufficient for the use that I'll give it.

    New Welder

I used it this morning for the first time properly, putting some patches on my bosses caddy pickup's shock absorbor towers, not the prettiest but considering there was almost no metal left to weld to it did ok. Got a feeling it may be the pickup's last mot, but then again it is allmost 20 years old and the clock stopped at 212k about 8 years ago so has probably done well over 300k.

    New Welder

That's exactly like this one, it's main use is going to be on metal like car bodies but sometimes it will be handy for bollocking the heat into hammer nose cones to pull the tool bushes in so the will come out. We had a look round and this one seemed to be the best price at the top end of domestic ones, it will probably only get used a couple of times a month so should be ideal. Certainly will be better than my old sealey one that was less power yet 3 times the size and weight.

    Yes it's an invertor mig.

    New Welder

After struggling to weld thin stuff with the arc welder scince my Mig packed up, my boss said he'd buy me a new one if I was willing to do the odd welding job for him aswell. Here it is, got to say that it welds absolutely amazingly, even someone who is as bad at welding as I am can get a nice run down, its nearly as good as the 3phz ones I used at college a few years ago.
  8. yes I've entered some of my plant machinery in this time, the idea is to have a selection of machines from the 1960's through to the late 1980's
  9. I'm now definatley going to be there, look forward to putting a face to the name.
  10. A contact in the trade has just dropped me a line saying he thinks he may have the correct air filter cover in his store.fingers crossed.
  11. They do look good, I have recently been having some very good results with rattle cans of chrome effect paint on things like these.
  12. I did hope to finally have this running over christmas, However I have hit a snag in that the valve block won't clear the return pipe so I need a special coupling that I don't have so will now have to wait until the supplier goes back in January.
  13. I had a local firm make the decals for my other power packs , and was very pleased with the end results. However after getting pi*%^d about scince July with the ones for this machine I have resorted to making them myself using off the shelf labels. Just waiting for the Panther animal sticker to come in from the states and have got to get a fine needle to pierce the couple of air bubbles.
  14. Finaly managed to get this saw finished today. Had to resort to a later spec air filter cover as I cant find an original type one anywhere at the moment. Started 3rd pull and after a bit of minor adjustment runs quite well.
  15. Due to unforeseen circumstances I'm regrettably going to have to part with my beloved little truck. Now only on 52k ( one of the reasons I'm selling it is lack of use). Before I let the vultures on ebay have a go I thought I'd give forum members first dibs. Will come with brand new mot, cambelt was changed only a few thousand ago and has lots of old mots to back up the almost unbelievable millage. 3 sets of alloys included along with the private number plate. I feel confident in saying this is one of the best examples left, and I'm 99% certain it's never had any paint work in its life.
  16. Possibly, just recently picked up this mid 1960's Partner k12 disc cutter, for the collection.
  17. After checking the forecast I got to the workshop just after 6am this morning to put the paint on the straightened top frame. There must be something in the nylon coating that causes a reaction with the top coat I using because even though I thought I'd removed it all I still got a slight lifting in places. Luckily most of it seems to be confined to where the decal will sit,so I should be able to do a localised touch up fairly easily. Sorry if the photos come out upside down, due to having no internet at home till the news year( thanks a bunch EE) I've had to piggy back onto the works broadband using the iPad that allways seems to rotate pictures that I take.
  18. thankyou, just got to sort out a decal for it now.
  19. Finaly got round to spraying the top frame in chrome effect paint.
  20. They were the right way up when I posted them, must be the iPad, for some reason I never seem to get on with uploading off it.
  21. Here's its brother now it's finished, an upright rammer.
  22. The plan is so long as my entry gets accepted to take a small display of classic light plant from the late 1950's to 1980's to tractor world in February.
  23. And here it is now that the restoration is almost finished. It had been semi restored a few years ago, but stored badly. I believe the engine is about 75 cc two stroke,Ive had the engine fully rebuilt by an ex Wacker employee that I know. They were originally a JLO engine that Wacker purchased the rights to. Still has its original wire rope recoil, can a bit lethal if it kicks back.
