  1. Here's the four uk engine options of bantams offered by howard over the years. Villiers ohv,Villiers mk 25c 2stroke, BSA 120cc, and AC 120.
  2. I've got one of those aswell, a great little mower.
  3. Nice photos, have allways fancied getting a merrytiller scince selling mine when i wa 17,how old is your lab, mine is 8 but has arthritis setting in allready as she had a major opp on her leg when she was 3.
  4. That also means its 3 years scince I last ran the gem. I'm ashamed to say that I parked it in the shed when I got home and it hasn't moved scince, I suppsose though that a lot of things have happened in the three years.
  5. Tractor world soon comes round, can't believe its allready 3years scince I last showed there. Maybe next year ill manage to get a few exhibits along.
  6. I allways like to see these old Briggs engines. 70's ones were what I learnt how to repair engines on, when I was a kid.
  7. Hi Paul, that's a quick transformation, did it take much to get the engine on numbe 3 going as it looks like a 2stroke, and I allways find them much more temperamental than four strokes?
  8. There's sign by us in pontrilas that tells you to turn left to go to Hereford, yet everybody knows that you actually turn right, as its a lot quicker, shorter and better road???
  9. I've got 2 of the water pumps and a chainsaw, never had them running. Never realised there was so many variations. Nice collection.

Here's some of my vintage wacker equipment that uses the same engine, just badged wacker instead of jalo.
  11. Thanks for the compliment, re yours,I'd say go for it then. The small ones are quite easy, but due to the shear size and the fact most have been worked to death, a gem takes a long time to do.

Not to worry, thanks for looking, ill have to see if I can dismantle the cap and reverse the dents.
  13. Blackwood is near Tredegar in Wales, next time I speak to him ill ask if he's got any ignition parts left.
  14. It's a pity you're not near Blackwood, I could put in touch with a guy who is red hot on those engines, is it just the points that have gone or the coil?
  15. I'm fairly sure it dates from the 1960's so not even run in yet. Apparently when the beds were cast they were then left outside for 3years to let all the stresses come out before being machined.
  16. Nice machines, I see your hako has a carb of a wacker wm80 fitted, probably makes it a good starter?
  17. I think this topic sums up why this forum is so busy even though its early days. It's nice to see that the admin listen to what the members want rather than saying tuff that's the way it is. A big thumbs up from me!
  18. This lathe is in the back workshop, weighs the best part of 4tonnes on its own.

Great video thanks, I've got a copy of the workshop manual(wacker) for the engine but my scanner isn't working at present and also have got a couple of sales sheets. Here's a shot of the fuel top on mine, it actually looks worse in the flesh.

Thanks for the fantastic link, its nice to see what it started out as. I'm particuarly pleased to see that some had a recoil starter fitted, as I've got one off a wacker wm75 engine(exactly the same engine) that I was considering fitting to ease starting with a bad hip.

ill go out to the shed on the weekend, as am never back during daylight at the moment throughout the week. If you have got one that would be great as the one fitted is badly dented.
  22. Hi pat its a 300, a first year of production machine, no575.
  23. Being a child of the 80's I'm not sure I can name 10 but this is what I remember from being a child that isn't around anymore. 1. Nes and gameboys, (still got mine to give to my son when he's older). 2. VHS. 3. Records 4. Tv with only four channels to watch, and no remote. 5.metal toys instead of today's cheap plastic. 6.the sun in the sky! It seems so long scince we've seen it in Britain that I've kind of forgotten what it looks like! 7. No Internet 8. No mobiles.
  24. Hi pat just looked it up in the dowdswell price list of 1986 and its actually listed as 12hp. If its any interest the list price was £2678, in those days a small car wouldn't of cost that much more new!
