Thankyou anyway. Re the iPad I did purchase a memory card reader/adaptor off ebay about a year ago, it worked well for a while but then started having problems reading it. Just find the PC much easier for that sort of thing, but prefer an iPad 99% of the time for everything else.
-
I'll have to crank the PC up when I get chance so I can upload them, I find it difficult to get them onto the iPad.
-
I've just purchased a largish villiers c30 off ebay for 99p. It's complete bar the fuel tank.Does anyone know anything about them? I've messed with loads of villiers before but only really the little ones and the diesels.
-
Great use for an old Williams and James Pace Pak. They became all most obsolete in the late 80's due to being high pressure but low flow. Used to buy loads of them cheaply as the engine was a direct replacement for a howard gem. Quite scarce these days, only scrapped my last frame a couple of weeks ago, never thought of using it for the mig.
-
having worked on both extensively in the past I personally would disagree, I find the honda has a lot more in built faults than a Briggs, but if it's running well, I equally wouldn't remove the honda.
-
Pity it wasn't a month ago I was up that way then. Know this is much help sorry.
-
that's great thanks, at least I know a bit more about it, here's hopping someone may have some photos from 87.
-
Hi, I know its a long shot but for something I'm working on at the moment I'm looking for photos from the 1987 Windsor show, particuarly photos of dowdeswells stand. Can anyone help please? Also can anyone tell me anything about this show as google searches only seem to throw up information about the horse shows? All I know is this show was held after the 10 th of September, maybe something to do with ground care?also Is it still held?
-
I think I've seen the 550 at tractor world? If so it really is superb in the flesh.
-
Heres a couple of shots, the engine is already with my mate for rebuilding. It does run but cuts out after about 10 mins.
-
Just a bit of an update. Machines is ready for paint but I've also just acquired another example. This time one with only a 6"wide rotor fitted. Apparently this was an option. Photos to follow once I'm at the PC as its awkward to upload with the iPad.

Here's a video of my very similar machine, still in regular use.

Just managed to buy a set of original alloys off ebay that were unfourtantley missing from my example. This time only involves an 80 mile round trip to collect. Should look something like this once repainted. The other item that arrived yesterday is a leather recolouring kit for the steering wheel as this is the one area that lets the truck down.
Theres a few things going on at my work at the moment (including a move) once sorted I'm hopping my boss will pay for me to take my trailer test and 7.5 tonner.
-
its allready got a detachable tow bar fitted but I've only got the new type licence which restricts what I can tow. My 17th was the the 23rd march 97 and they changed the law on the 1st. How's that or bad luck?
a mate of mine breaks cars for a living so I've asked to give me first dibs on any mk3 golfs he gets in, should keep the wiring simple.
-
yes, turns almost into a standard mk 2 caddy/felicia. it was worth it but I wouldn't do it in a single day again, I would split it over two instead, particuarly in a pickup.
-
The nearest thing I've got is mechanical aids to the small holding by Desaules . An absolutely essential read. I'm sure its circa 1955.
-
hopefully will be, at least until I've finished all the miles of welding on my subaru. The four seater part is particuarly nice in the hot weather we are experiencing at the moment.
-
That does look a good find. Not as old but I've got a late 70's electric mountfield that still works well, my grandad had owned it from new. Instead of the normal red its orange, a very fitting colour for me.
-
Only a 1600 polo engine. Am toying with dropping in a 1.9tdi out of a golf. The white one has allready got the normally asperated 1.9 diesel.
Thanks paul, only involved a 660 mile round trip to north of Dumfries to get it, but I'd never seen one so tidy. Only just over 300 left on the road now.
-
No, definatley staying yellow. Hope I can keep this one.
Second photo is my previous one, nowhere near as nice.
-
Aqquired this little beauty a couple of weeks ago. Had one. Few years back and allways regretted selling it. It's a 2001 model with only 49k on the clock.
Other side

I've had quite a few done by him, quality is top notch.
-
Hi I've got the stick on the side at my work, sorry totally forgot to measure it, will do.
-
If you ever want to make doubly sure you can put it on our 60tonne Churchill press!
-
I agree with Paul, looks a fantastic collection and is also a bit different.
