It looks like a Landmaster L150 type hitch.

I had one years ago, mine had a recoil starter, sorry no photos though so not much help.

Could it be welded then ground and polished

I emailed Stuart Dawes yesterday and got the following reply back today, which I thought was very good of them and with a bonus of a parts list for the hedge cutter "We moved premises 14 years ago and I’m sorry to say that we destroyed our older written records. We did sell a number of these machines to the local Electricity Board but am unable to find any further information. I don’t know if it would be on any use but I did manage to locate just one parts list which I have attached. Regards. Lincoln"

The telephone number on the sticker is 404, how long is it since 3 digit numbers were used

There is another use for these, I've seen a couple kitted out for classic car trials, they looked quite good.

Just picked up a water pump to add to my collection of Solo Multimot accessories. From the 80's so are they classed as " My old Machines "?. You bought an engine then buy various accessories depending what you wanted. I now have 4 engines, a water pump, a chainsaw, hedge cutter and 3 brand new boxed hover mowers. I am always on the lookout for more. Would these look out of place at a vintage show ? I like them but they are perhaps too modern to show.

Hi, did you put the governor spring and link back on right, also check the o ring where the carb slides on the inlet pipe.

They are aerating hollow tines.

Nice collection, have you tried the mower? I have one the same but have never tried it.

I have a Viceroy TDS 1/1 from around the mid 50's, doesn't get a lot of use and is half buried in the shed at the moment.
