just met nigel up at hawkhurst a few hours ago to pick up my new pacemaker that mayfield merlin of his is mighty fine i thjink im going to have to buy it!

yes it is they have sent me the old rollers there rotten they were put on to keep it working for the old girl unfortunatley the tank decal is ellegible i also have the transport wheels

im with you steve d i love the m4,s other than a few hayters there the only mowers worth having these days i buy as many as i can i generally fit the honda gcv engine to them this makes them a ver worthy candidate to the modern mowers they will carry on for years with a freshen up i have 4 more resto candidates coming this week i had been offered the rare silver coloured model with the 5hp briggs lump but the silly bloke who had it weighed it in with the local travelling scrap men if you get my meaning the silly so and so also weighed in 25 nsu quickly,s 3 other m4,s 3x diesel howard gems and 3 gunsmith tractors i really want to use a couple of four letter words at this point but i will refrain where did you get your boadicea from? she looks lovely

it was they hadnt listed it properly its a runner one lady owner from new with original manual and as new wheels and no i didnt pay £95 for it ! unfortunatley the trail for the new in box one has come to an end the man who ownes it built it as an apprentice (he is now 60+) wont sell it for love nor money i offered him very very stupid money and he still said no apparently the hall and duck trust in somerset have put first dibs on it however i have managed to get him to agree to let me photograph it as a nice bit of horticultural pornography

its weird the oiler pot when you open it the pump part of the oiler is still under the cap its just the lever and plunger pin that's missing

I will christen her monsterfield watch this space it wont be self propelled but it will cut anything especially once ive hardfaced the cutter blade or I just might fit some tungsten cutting edges my brain is wizzing now I might have to go make a start in a minute there isn't much on the telly anyway

im just pondering building the above as I have a few m4 chassis about and an 11hp briggs lump that currently lives on a rather dilapidated mtd lawnflite I will post some pics when I have disassembled the mtd should be pretty mad though

great idea but not a lot of use when it hasn't run for a while not enough grunt to get the fuel up to her I generally fit a pull cord to get things going then re-fit the winder once fuel is there then they work a treat
