On the 800 I have a restored deck apparently with 3 rotary blades on it. I nearly bought a rotavotar a few weeks back but I didn't bid enough to secure it. Lesson learnt.
I have just bought a good conditioned snow plough manufactured by Bolens off that auction site for either my Bolens 1254 or my new Bolens 800. I won't be getting them until the end of next week; another weekend without them..... I will post photos as soon as I get them.
Now, what else do I need for my Bolens? A rotavator? Or another example from the Bolens range.
I agree with you; collecting the relevant brochures, workshop manuals etc is just as much fun as owning the machine itself. I have tonnes of literature pertaining to my Morris LCV and I am starting to buy some Bolens material too.
What's a Gutbrod like to own? I know they come from Germany and they look really well built. Are parts relatively easy to come by? I was tempted to get one myself but opted for a Bolens 1254 instead.
I am interested in subscribing to this magazine. I have contacted them but they have emailed me an American free phone phone number. Anyone here subscribe to this in the UK? How did you get your payment details over to them securely? Thanks Andrew
Just to say that the Bolens bug have bitten me again; a symptom that Chris and Iain knows only too well! I am in the process of acquiring a 1963 Bolens 800 with a mowing deck attached to it. It's in really good condition and have been sympathetically restored a few years ago. I just need to add some detailing at some point and buy some drive belts. Photos to follow once it's safely in my care. Cheers for now.
I am not quite sure how I discover MOM but it must have been when I was researching Wheel Horses on the internet and stumble across this site. I ended up getting a Bolens instead! Most excellent machine and forum.
