  1. I promised there will be photos of the following:

Bolens 800 tractor to be collected by moi on Wednesday from Crewkerne viva the Borders country

Haben sickle bar cutter to be delivered by end of next week

Howard's Bolens cylinder mower to delivered next week from Gwynedd, Wales

It's like waiting for a bus for ages and all three arrives in the space of a few days! I ain't buying anything else for the time being until the missus calms down.......

In the end I paid for a pallet company to collect the cutter bar from Yorkshire and it's beast to packaged up as well the sellers/ was really helpful in sorting out all the details to arrange for it to be pelleted down to Devon.

  2. I have just bought a Haban sickle mower for my Bolens tractor; it looks in really good condition and is complete including the original instruction leaflet. All being well it should be delivered here by the end of next week. I will post photos of it when it's here.

  3. I know it would be free advertising, but would a place for info of this kind be a bad idea? Not just for Kohlers, but any place people have found parts for their machines, implements etc. Just a thought as info like this can be lost in the depths of the forum.

I think Norman's got a valid point there. It would be very useful for all of us in our quest to source parts etc..

  4. I gave the plough a good pressure washed this afternoon to remove any grime etc. I also applied some WD40 on the moving parts. I am going to buy a Bolens snow plough manual so I know how to attach it properly. Also I need to fabricate a rod which hopefully Iain will give me some measurements to work off.post-259-0-06853500-1412956102_thumb.jpgpost-259-0-33767000-1412956141_thumb.jpgpost-259-0-86481000-1412956195_thumb.jpg

  5. Iain,

There's one on that auction site from the USA. Hopefully there might be one in the UK at some point. Still I can plough at the front when there's snow! On a serious note, I can really see the attraction of ploughing; I drove Internationals ,Fords and MFs on farms when I was at Uni and always thought I should have a go at ploughing then.
