Yer I let him know (communication is through his son) I will let him know I got the paper work and again let him know it's running, with lovely new tyres ready for show on Saturday.
May look into road registering mine.... being the 853 it narrows Down to being made 70/71 and engine number is 71. How would I go about getting a v5? Can't I get a bolens headed letter? Or just apply for a Q plate?
From the many posts you can tell I quite love it... also was chufed it started on the second pull but my god I must get the starter bolted on and wired up
Little bit smokey at times, but I can investigate that.
Yes he loves it and it doesn't bother him in the slightest.
Looking forward to sorting the wheels Wednesday and then showing Saturday. Decided on the fordingbridge summer festival. A bit more relaxed with the new baby and only 5 mins away.
Owner contacted me today... he has found some paper work for the bolens and is sending it down. I think it's just a manual as he said he had a friend in America who sent him one across but who know what goodies may turn up
I would post your tractor on GTT Bolens Forum for a postitive identification that it's an early 853. The guys on that forum got far more knowledge than I on these tractors.
Post ip a video of it
She lives!!
After much tinkering, she fired up and stayed running and also DROVE
Got a film off it... will work out how to do that later
