At least I have just sold one to make up for the one I got sunday, should keep her happy,
-
Dont know really, the tank was dry and the battery was flat, I changed the plug and charged the battery and renewed the + battery lead, skirted some fuel in the carb and she fired up. kept her running on the extra fuel until she pumped it up then she was ok
-
I thought about giving the deck a good mopping with some G7 to give it that aged look
-
When I started playing with the Wheelhorse's. it was just a light hearted hobby to give me something to do in my spare time. After making my garage three times the size and bursting at the seams I was given permission to park the odd one in the drive as long as I didn't park on the patio, well she still got the grass to sit on
-
Must be loosing my touch, took me just over an hour this morning to get her running, had a drive round the garden and tried out all the gears and cutter deck.
I was a bit disappointed to find only one headlight works , or was the ole girl winking at me
-
All the chap said that he bought the house 5 or 6 years ago and the Wheelhorse was in the barn, he's used ever since but each year he has to spend money on it and decided to let her spend the rest of her life driving round rally fields with lots of other Horse's
-
Iam tempted to get it running and give it the oily rag treatment and keep it
-
hope the puddle drys up before the show Kev.
-
your stripes aren't very straight mate
-
No luck in it boys, it was on Red-square for everyone to see
-
Yeh, with one of those hughmongest great keys on the back
-
Who's a happy chappy then
-
Had a phone call from a fellow member that there was a free Wheelhorse to a good home on Red-Square local to me. After a quick response I managed to speak to the owner, he didn't know what model it was only that the engine was up front. with the help of Mr Mackellow and his trailer we went to collect it.
I was thrilled to bits to find a 1974 Raider 12, 8 speed with almost a new deck . Had a quick look after tea and it spins over, so a drop of fuel tomorrow and it should fire up,
-
Just had a read up on this at Red-Square, its electric and going to have fish in it, that's cool.
-
Oh, do you mean it dos'nt run
-
That's nice, should of called it "SeaHorse"
-
That's cool, not members of HSE then Kev ?
-
better pm me a list, ill see what I've got
-
Top-job Mark, with a week off you should have it ready for Newby !!!
-
Might do the old women good to run round the garden for an hour.
-
had a bit of spare time today so bolted some more together and had the motor running, thank-fully its sweet as a nut
-
Are you still running it on red-bull Nigel ?
-
-
Look's good in the photos, let's hope someone take's a liking to it, I need to make some room
-
Had this Raider 10 for a while, last time it ran was at Ardingly last year, its been grazing on the patio uncovered ever since.
I put some new points in it and then had to renew the petrol pipe, charged up the battery and she jumped into life, had a drive round the garden chased by Lily for a hour. Had some new decals in stock (not the right one's) but tarted it up, a quick spray with red diesel and a few photos to put it on e##y
