  3. yeh , chase her up mark. always good to see English stuff in American magazines
  4. I met Kate at the Wheelhorse show in 08 and had lunch with her and Charlotte (Brandon's wife) the mag was then called Lawn and Garden Collector Magazine. In March/April 09 I was lucky enough to be Featured Collector and have 3 pages of photos and words
  5. The next job is to break it down for shot blasting and paintwork. thanks mark can't be leave it was 2011 when I built it, where's the time gone ?
  6. And it works. its a bit strange to drive with zero turn and I have to say that I did clip the wall on one of the turns, but good fun !
  7. Here's a few photo's of it hung together to see if it works !
  8. next job is to bolt it all together to see if it fits and works
  9. When visiting the show in PA I fell in love with the trikes, and no one has one in the UK, so here's the steering. the first photo shows the parts used, a length of solid rod and tube, an old engine plate, mower deck bearing, a blade spacer, a box of chain and cogs from a auto jumble and steering column for the axle. the second and third photo show the bearing and grease nipple and top gearwheel from a Cortina camshaft, all welded up and will bolt in the chassis rails next job was to bolt everything together and see if it all fits and works
  10. I'am not to sure to use a rear fender and like the look of the fender kit used on the RJ's which I bought on one of my trips to the Wheelhorse show in PA. a bit of bodywork looks very useable, pick a gas tank, and cut the upstand the last photo of the front axle parts but you'll have to wait until tomorrow for the answer
  11. next on the list is front wheels, I want to use early narrow one's and the early narrow rear's as well. the engine iam going to use is an 8 hp kohler with electric start. using a 8 speed tranny the 8 hp will be plenty. next the bonnet and for looks I went for the charger 12. the dash stands that I have are a bit rusty so I bent up a new one
  12. This build is one I did a while ago, but for those who hav'nt seen it I thought I would share it with you. We often say we have enough parts to build another one so here we go. as you can see I started with the chassis but all the old ones have a lot of holes in so I decided to make a new one, out with chop saw and stick welder , next was a transmission.
  13. thanks mark, I've just got a new puter and trying to find my way round it. I will do a complete build with words and photos when I get more comfident
