Correct spec steering components and wheel spindles are on their way from the USA, then I can put a proper pair of
front wheels on it
-
Well done Kev, you're doing a grand job mate
-
-
-
Cheers Norm, I might even bring it to Newby next year and park it amongst the red tractors !!
-
Not sure Chris, they'll get changed in the fullness of time
UPDATE they will be changed when postman pat delivers a box of bits from the USA !!

Amongst our collection of various machines we have three Wheelhorses and up until yesterday one Cub Cadet, a model 100...
Looking on a certain website I spotted this machine, Wendy my better half was keen on bidding for it, so bid I duly did...
It's a Cub Cadet 128, with a 12hp Kohler, these tractors were made between 1971 and 1974 so I need to have a look at the
spec plate...
It needs a few bits like proper front wheels and the steering sorted out but I think with a bit of graft it could be quite a machine...
-
Cowling/tank back on this evening, too hot outside to do much more...
-
Well done that man, thought you would succumb to the lure of the horse !!
-
Friday morning for me Kev as discussed
-
Seeing stens photo prompted me to take a look in my own CGA annual collection, here's two references firstly from
1962 and the second from 1965...
There is a reference in the 1966 annual as well but apart from the date change its identical to 1965...
Interesting to see that the price went up from 1960 to 1962 but had dropped a little by 1965...
-
Hope it was a great day James

That's great mate, steady progress each year is the way to go
-
I haven't tried it out Neil but I see no reason why it wouldn't do the job.
-
That's nice Neil has it got a makers name on it ??
-
Any updates Kev, how many entries are we up to now ??
-
Got round to doing a bit more to this machine, cowling/tank unit removed and painted, the front plate and support bracket have been painted as
well ,the blue is the closest match I could get to the Jobber with the hedge trimmer...
Exhaust done in heat resistant paint as well

Added this to our collection recently, its an ATCO lawn edger, not sure of the production date but its got wooden handles and
the guard on it that I haven't seen before...
-
A 12 volt version arrived today to keep the other one company...
And yes I will look at the wiring before trying it !!
-
-
Thanks Steve, I was quite chuffed to find that, literature for these does seem a bit thin on the ground...
-
A number of copies of Amateur Gardening turned up today, in one dating from 1965 I found this advert...
