bowtiebutler956 166 #1 Posted January 28, 2014 Well, I thought I'd post a couple pics of my B-80, that has been repowered with a Kohler K301 12hp. This has been my mower for about 10yrs now. It was missing its original engine when I got it, so I repowered it with a well worn K301 years ago, and worked it like a dog for many years. It finally came to the point it was burning more oil than gasoline, and the tractor had surface rust all over it, so I decided to give it a refresh. I rebuilt the engine, as well as anything else that needed some love. Its been almost 3 years since it was refreshed, and its still my full time mower of choice, although I use some of the other tractors occasionally. It doesn't look quite this nice anymore, but it still runs like new. Matt 2 TITCH and Ian reacted to this

bowtiebutler956 166 #5 Posted January 28, 2014 Very nice, A job well done and will now last for many years more Thank you, and thats what I'm hoping for. This is my dedicated mower, and we have to mow year round here, as we don't get snow, and for the most part we don't see temps below 32. Although, today is our coldest day of the year, and the weather guessers, say we may get down to 28 tonight. Waaaay to cold for this southern boy! Top job...... I'll take that as a great compliment, after seeing your beautiful C141 !! Another beautiful tractor - nothing wrong with a repower that's in keeping and a great resto. Andy Thanks Andy. I do like to try and keep them original, but I have to admit that I like the extra power. Matt

I agree with him above me , it is too nice to send to work , she is certainly a museum exhibit . Buy anther use one and work that one , Top job Matt,,,,,,,,, one of the best ive seen Neil this has already been in full time mowing duty for a couple years now. Its not as pretty as it was in these pics, but she's still looking good, and working even better! Very Very nice, A restoration is of course maintenance too, giving it a whole new lease of life. Looks Fantastic! Titch Thanks, and I couldn't agree with you more TITCH! There is alot more than paint, that goes into a proper refurbish, and of course, regular maintenance after.
