Stormin 4,458 #2 Posted February 26, 2018 From the photo, George, it looks like a hole. Can it be welded?
the showman 4,074 #3 Posted February 26, 2018 Looks like the lug has broken off and needs welding back on also the lug at the bottom of your photo is cracked and needs a run of weld along it
Stormin 4,458 #4 Posted February 26, 2018 Hadn't noticed the missing lug or the cracked one. Need to go to Specsavers. A good fabricator/welder should be able to repair it. Get it cleaned up and have a good look at the third lug.
the showman 4,074 #5 Posted February 26, 2018 Pop down with it George and I'll weld it up for you
Ransomes256 18 #6 Posted February 26, 2018 May be worth checking the wheel on the other side as well. Neil 1 ploughmen reacted to this
Wristpin 400 #7 Posted February 26, 2018 That will weld OK but don't attempt it with the tyre still on the rim - even deflated, nasty things can happen. Also, it may be wise to add some reinforcement inside the rim and inspect the insides of the other welds for cracking. http://www.worktruckonline.com/article/story/2010/01/caution-welding-wheels-is-dangerous.aspx 1 HeadExam reacted to this
