Potash123 26 #1 Posted November 8, 2018 My little push along has a slight leak along the top seam of the plastic petrol tank. It only weeps slightly but I would like to seal it with some form of resin. The plastic has a mottled finish some should grip OK. Any resins recommended to fix this on this spare mower. Thank you. Wristpin 400 #2 Posted November 8, 2018 If it’s a raised seam you may be able to fuse the leaking area with a soldering iron.
Potash123 26 #3 Posted November 8, 2018 Thought about that, worried about going straight through it. Finding another tank will be horrendous and costly. Thanks for reply.
Fix'em all 49 #4 Posted November 8, 2018 Is it one of the Mountfields with a one piece fuel tank & pull start assembly. They always leak & the best bet is to find another engine

Wristpin 400 #7 Posted November 8, 2018 If you are considering the "glue" route, I'm not sure about JB Weld but I would suggest Q Bond or the slightly oddly named Quicksteel Plastic Repair.
