Joseph 332 #1 Posted April 11, 2020 We started the day with a simple puncture repair on the Westwood D1200 which we were not planning to video. Due to an interesting discovery we thought we would share what we found. 3 Bob paterson, Alan and WestwoodW8Gazelle reacted to this
Wristpin 400 #2 Posted April 11, 2020 32 was the greatest number of thorns that I pulled out of a customer’s tyre a few years ago when he complained that the tyre sealant wasn’t working ! I laid them out in a line on a piece of card with a strip of clear tape over them and presented it to him with the bill. ********* Safety issue . Never inflate a tyre on the flat , especially with your face immediately above it. Stand the wheel on edge at “ right angles” in front of you . That way if the tire blows off the rim it goes left or right and not back at you. 3 WestwoodW8Gazelle, nigel and Bob paterson reacted to this

Had a rear tyre blow, twin wheel on 7.5 ton Ford Cargo some years ago, it was the inner wheel, it exploded and impregnated the inside of the outer wheels tyre with thousands of small pieces of wire!! Two tyres needed, only went in with a flat tyre!! Ouch!!
Wristpin 400 #4 Posted April 13, 2020 Yes, can be dangerous. A couple of years ago a mechanic working for a certain multi branch ag dealer was inflating a tyre when it blew blinding him in one eye. HSE fined the firm £750,000. later reduced to £100,000 on appeal + £9000 costs.
