Anglo Traction 1,016 #1 Posted September 1, 2021 Hi All, I've been advised that Paul at Meetens (UK) is planning to cease trading for health reasons. Don't expect to receive an immediate response for new orders etc. I, or someone hopefully will update this with any further news. Also, those who are into Mower/Engine parts etc, I believe Jon Cruse of Hailsham is struggling with health issues and may have to cease trading, but need to confirm this. pmackellow 2,738 #3 Posted September 1, 2021 I spoke to John Cruse recently and he seemed ok, I know he is scaling down the repair side of the business and concentrating on parts sales through ebay... 1 nigel reacted to this
Stormin 4,458 #4 Posted September 1, 2021 Sorry to hear about Paul. I've had a few dealings with him. He'll be sorely missed.
mattblack 76 #5 Posted September 2, 2021 Had good service from Paul at Meetens on the couple of occasions I've used them. Sad, but health comes first.
Wristpin 400 #6 Posted September 5, 2021 Dealt with Meetens since the late seventies when they were in Coombe Lane , Wimbledon; for parts and re-bores etc. Always good service and advice. In those days the phone was often answered by the redoubtable Miss Childs who was the proverbial encyclopaedia of all things Villiers . Let on that you thought that you should be talking to a chap and your card was very politely marked. A sad sign of the passing years. Best wishes to Paul. PS. Should add that I’ve heard that L&S Engineers are taking over Meeten’s stock. 2 nigel and Stormin reacted to this
