ranger 373 #1 Posted May 22, 2023 Hi everyone. I’ve been looking for a source for the pto clutch linings. Not wanting to pay Toro prices, I found a company that specialises in all types of friction plates etc. I’ve just ordered some linings to suit the 6 3/4” size pto’s. The company’s name is Clutchfix ltd. Have a look on their website. To order quote the material type - RF40, dimensions 171 x 108 x 4 mm. Price quoted £10.14 p + vat + postage. If you require the older smaller size, (6”), quote the required dimensions. Suggested adhesive = Araldite! Anglo Traction 1,016 #2 Posted May 22, 2023 Always good to have an alternative source for friction linings. I've used Auto & Industrial ltd for my requirements in the past. A link for reference - A&IFS Itd I foolishly 'paid through the nose' for a TORO/Wheel Horse PTO plate (rivet on) many years ago....still in my stock!. The 5min Araldite version is rubbish in my opinion. I always use the Original Araldite and has bonded my WH brake linings to spring steel with no issues. Just needs a longer curing time.- Regards. Wristpin 400 #4 Posted May 23, 2023 Loctite do a useful two part adhesive called Multibond. Quick curing. I’ve used it successfully to re- attache Hayer Osprey and 21 clutch linings and other similar jobs. 2 Anglo Traction and ranger reacted to this

Richard That looks smart! I am in need of a brake lining for my current wheel horse project, I’m wondering if you might know where I could source one? I had a quick look on your link. Anglo Traction 1,016 #8 Posted May 28, 2023 HI Ewan, I've just used up the last piece of lining on my Stationary project. I still have this brake unit in my stock though!. If you PM me your WH project Model nbr and what you're in need of, I'll check to see what I have. I'm starting to have a sort out of WH parts I no longer require. Regards. 1 Cub Cadet reacted to this

Anglo Traction 1,016 #10 Posted June 2, 2023 Hi Lauren, That is the 5min version. The deception is that they use the word original. The one you want is the 'Standard' version. Gives you 80mins+ working time, but requires longer curing time setting- I've used this brand for over 50 years and in hostile environments in excess temps of 65c and has held fast. There are other brands out there, but have never had a need to try them. Providing the parts are meticulously clean, dry, sound and abraded for good keyed surfaces, it will do the job.
