amcrules00 got a reaction from neil in Oldest Tool(s) in your Toolbox
This early '58 RJ is the oldest one I have that left the factory with a toolbox...
but I must admit, I am partial to the looks better without 'em fitted up though.

Thanks Craig, I really should do some more computer artwork/chopping images about, it's just finding the time these days.. I did all the above work before a young lady who has been my wife for 6 years came into my life.. As it happens today is the 7 year anniversary of when we first met!

Along with the riders I also have several different models of the walk-behind DB's. I never went all out in collecting these, as with 23 models and 50 -60 attachments, it would take a large shed to store them. So here is a few of them and some working ones.

amcrules00 reacted to Stormin in Scrap Heap Saw bench.
Take one Liner saw bench minus engine. One Lister single cylinder diesel engine. A pair of Land Rover hubs and wheels and some scrap box section and this is what you get.
And earning it's keep.

amcrules00 reacted to Stormin in nothing now - from the ashes, new workshop
Creosote/used engine oil mix was quite a widely used wood preservative once upon a time. I know of one or two 50yr old chicken sheds that are still going strong.

amcrules00 reacted to Terry M in Building a basement fireplace
Wasn't sure where to put this post...and it wasn't my idea to invent the fireplace...but it was my idea to build one in my basement. I started building this gas fireplace a few years ago and I've done everything myself so far Including building the room its in. so here are some older pics I found of it somewhat close to being finished. I will show the finished product sometime in the near future when its done.

Yes, that little guy is Stanley the dog. I know he looks to be a cat,but I think he's a dog because he follows me around like one...

amcrules00 reacted to neil in Imported from United States
Importing is quite easy as i have a young lady that takes care of everything for me . She arranges to have it picked up in US & it is delivered to my door as you see in the above pics .
when it arrives she just sends me an invoice for payment .
I have imported 5 tractors now including the RS83 Rideawy senior below.
It can work out a little expensive to do but as i am not in the hobby for the money it didnt really matter to me , besides i am sure they will go up in value as time goes on , as it stands at the moment i think i would get my money back if i were to sell them but i dont think i would make a profit by doing it .well not for a couple of years , but then who knows
OMG Tom you sold your suburban , how did you manage to tear your hands away from that .
Our good buddy Richard would have had that from you .
Hope you got a good price for it .
