Yep I understand that, but I think he said it had an old Honda engine in, and I thought I would have a lot of trouble finding the right engine for it, but as it happens the showmans got one for sale, I will look forward to the restoration of this one because ime sure you will do it to your normal very high standards and it will end up better than new.👍🏻

Triumph66 reacted to Cub Cadet in Welding trolley project
Quick little fabrication project. I repurposed this 3 wheeled walker thing that my grandad got his brother as a joke present .
I didn't use any of the original tubing as it was quicker to use square stuff we already had.
The bottle sits low down over the back wheels for stability.
The old adjustment knobs were used to attach the chain, works well.
For the novelty factor I used the handles makes it easy to push around.
All finished, its proved very useful so fair when moving it between workshops! I might add some bars on the sides later to hold the welder and plasma cutter on properly. Works well enough without them though

A while back I noticed a few people asking about these hitches on a Facebook page, thought I’d have a go at making some to see if I could sell any. Here’s how far I’ve got.
First job was making a jig to put the 90 degree bend in some 10x50mm bar.
needed some 1” square bar to fit in the hardy hole of my anvil.
This is the jig I made
The round bar fits in the pritchel hole to keep it sturdy
Works a treat
All the same
Next hurdle was putting the cranks in the bars, I made up an attachment for our hydraulic press
9 tons of force to put these bends in

Both bonnets all welded up and cleaned up, I’m so pleased with them I thought they were scrap at the beginning.
Big thanks to my son Steve for his help.

Bonnet fits on 2 pegs so you have to spread the bonnet to get it on, and it cracked one of the repairs that I had done 😡

Bonnet No2 gave me some grief as the blue paint wouldn’t move with paint stripper so i had to use a hot air gun and scraper and finally going over with a drill and sanding pad.
This afternoon Steve came down and got the new tin all cut and clamped ready for welding. Looking good.

Got some shed time working on the red bonnet, I finished sanding off the last of the red paint and my son came down with the mig welder and offered to weld it up for me.
I went off to make the tea while he welded it up.
All done and I started grinding it up but its not finished yet, I don’t want to cock it up so I’ll wait for him to come back tomorrow but I’m well pleased with the progress.

They're bad. Especially the red one. Looks like they need the bad areas cut out and new material welded in. Or fibre glassing.

Got both of the fuel tank brackets finished and in primer today only thing left to do is flush the rust out of the tanks.
Had a look at the two bonnets , I’ve kept moving them down the list as i new they were bad but getting to the point where I need to do something with them, not sure what yet I don’t think I’ll sand blast them yet.

Got tanked up today, found some off cuts of metal in stock so I’ve made two fuel tank brackets
Think the photos show the process.
