  1. Right hand final drive and gear lever fitted. Test fit the engine, and final sand and it'll be ready for its top coat.
  2. Hi rolloman, I'll have them, PM sent.
  3. More progress this morning, left hand final drive, steering levers and main geaebox lid.
  4. Built up the main gear box and fitted the 3 speed gearbox tonight.
  5. Managed to get the bottom and the inside of the geaebox painted ready for the rebuild.
  6. I've baught another small shed so that I could get on with the restoration. As usual on these crawlers, the front of the crawler under the engine had rusted away so this morning I cut it out and welded a new peice of steel in, all I need to do is drill the hole in it for the engine drain plug.
  7. VINTAGE AMAL 343/10 CARBURETTOR. COMPLETE AND IN GOOD ORDER. £26 posted Used on Shay rotavator.
  8. I'm sure I seen this on ebay a few months ago?
  9. That one has been cobbled together, the engine has an additional gearbox with foot clutch although it is a sachs. I have seen this on a forum before, it used to have a pile driver mounted to it.
  10. Sure are, they are ok until you bolt the flywheel on! I usually have to man handle them onto the crawler as I done have an engine crane.
  11. Finished the engine, I always forget how big they are when they have the shrouds on!
  12. It's for a dynamo Jonathan, going to fit the lights that you suggested.
  13. Jonathan, Neil possibly has one, the guy with the maroon dumper snapped his crankshaft and got another one from Neil.
  14. Probably took me about 100 hrs just to restore the tub, the worst thing was sandblasting them though!
  15. Slow progress, but it's winter! Engine and wheels painted
  16. It's looking good, can't wait to have a go.
  17. Jonthan asked me to post some pictures of his progress,so here they are..
  18. What's happening with the ransomes dumper, lost interest?
  19. Your welcome Jonathan, it was good fun.
  20. Who are the two guys with the ransomes? One is Tom Tweedie? Who's the other with the MG5? Interested to find out about other m&s in Scotland.
  21. It's came a long way Jonathan,
  22. Collected both them for Jonathan, they big have the ST 600cc engine which are mounted to the mg2 crawlers, considered buying one as a cheap source of spares for my Mg2 now we're I pass and it was offered to Jonathan the next day. Looks like you've been doing some tidying Jonathan, shed seems empty.
  23. Plough lifts using a pulley off the PTO, the pulley has a brake band around it to control the plough dropping. it's always been green, I've scraped some of the oil off in places and theres quite a vibrant green underneath. The ransomes decal on the engine has green under it aswell. The mystery driver is Alex, the guy I baught it off in France, it is the picture he sent me. There is a mysterious linkage attached to the PTO lever but isn't attached to anything, the other lever is for releasing the brake band.
  24. Was indeed a nice find, present to myself for my 20th birthday in a few weeks. Managed to get it started, and drive it round to my house, the neighbours were chuffed!
