  1. I think I might, might be a while though!
  2. Hmm stop trying to tempt me! Will i show them Jonathan or keep them waiting?
  3. Well done, after many years of searching it must have been a satisfying drive home! I will be down in a fortnight to see them. Maybe a good opportunity to reveal my own project!
  4. Not sure what they were main dealers for but I guess it would have been combines. I can only assume the sign is older than 1970 as Ransomes didn't use that type of lettering after that time, it change to more square letting and a square red background.
  5. Cleaned sign up, looks good although bird crap has stained it.
  6. No, I'm keeping it!! Took me 3 years to get!
  7. No chance of finding another engine. How is the cylinder bore? Chester Hudson may have spares. Piston on eBay http://www.ebay.de/itm/Holder-Kolben-Fichtel-Sachs-DieselMotor-600L-Holder-B12-A12-E12-Holder-Piston-/311319310159?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item487c13af4f http://www.ebay.de/itm/Holder-Kolben-Fichtel-Sachs-DieselMotor-600L-Holder-B12-A12-E12-Holder-Piston/281631758425?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140117130753%26meid%3Dbcc26da6269b4644875b6c0c126f40a6%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D311319310159
  8. Yes you will need a starting wick, either that or fit a glow plug
  9. What's it fitted to? Have you bled the injector pump? guessing its a bosch one. I have a sachs fitted to one of my ransomes MG40 crawlers
  10. Hopefully will be taking it to Malvern next year, will give it a clean off, mostly dust.
  11. Been after this sign for a few years now, the other day the boss said I could have it previously wanting £1000 for it! Rutherfords were a large agricultural engineers here in the borders manufacturing grain handling equipment, sheds ect, established around 1850 it went into liquidation in 1995. It has several branches, one survived in earlston however it shut down about a year ago. Anyway this sign has survived the building going through two sales and nobody removed it, it was obvious there was others around it but these were long gone. Will look good once the sparrow crap Is cleaned off, or do I leave it?
  12. Baught a crawler in Aberdeen, collecting in about 2 week, if it was a bit earlier I would have brought it and they way back through!
  13. Spotted this on the bay Item 231601164398
