I am building a replica machine and require what I believe to be called admirality plate, it's an old style of tread plate with dimond shapes on, I am aware of the modern steel plate that you get but it does not have the correct pattern.
If anyone has seen this or has a bit lying about then I would be greatfull if you would pass it on, I've been to just about every blacksmith, engineers and scrap yard in the borders and no one has seen it.
I require two pieces around 12" square I have a piece so I know it exists!

Glad you didn't paint it green like this one!
I'm not sure what it's meant to be.

I've only know Jonathan for about 20 years. Give me time and I'll start getting your name right.
There's still time then!
-
I'm actually glad that I went, even though I was soaked through then had to drive 60miles home!
Alfie the dog seemed to enjoy It anyway.
Interesting spelling Norman, as jonathan pointed out its Rhys, I see you've finally got the hang of spelling Jonathan 😀😀
Few pics I have.
-
I am pretty desperate but you wouldn't let me paint it, would you?
-
We've had a bit of snow in Jedburgh as well, strange weather!!
-
Not used to the competition Jonathan!

Had the MG6 out today, checking it over, fitting the bumper and toolbox ready for a rally next weekend.

I've got a sealey mighty mig 190, it's a good welder and reasonably priced, I just got a bottle from hobby weld, Adams gas ect. You pay a refundable deposit for the bottle and then just pay for the gas every time you run out regardless of how long it takes you, no need for monthly bottle rental. I wouldn't waste your time of the disposable ones unless you weld once in a blue moon, but then do you really need a welder? Or just use an arc.

It's defo a trusty steed now you mention it.
Correct wheels, mud guards ect.
-
A rollo tractor or do the wheels look to far apart?
-
No bringing Mum, Dad and the dog so will be arriving on sunday morning.
-
I'm booked in with the MG6
-
Just passed my test a month or so ago. I went out an baught this so I don't have to rely on Dad driving me and the crawlers around, not bad for a first car/truck.
As you can see, I was just getting used to it when I tried to park it, seems to be a bit squint !!😀 (I'm better at it now)

Looking for a Drayton type 34R engine if anyone has or knows of one, willing to swap a rebuilt 600cc Ransomes engine
-
-
Steel I would imagine to allow it to be welded to the steel flange.
-
Here is a picture of a prototype MG2. It has higher sides, and the toolbar hinges from the outside of the tractor. It also has the T engine.
-
looks like its, hope thats not number 137!
-
Have you got the original engine? Do i spot a spare Ransomes engine as well?
-
