Hi,
Im looking for a 4 terminal regulator as fitted to cub cadets in conjunction with the delco remy starter/dynamo, just to save me ordering from the US.
This is for my Ransomes ITW, I fitted a different regulator but it doesn't seem to do the job.
Thanks

Missing them already.....always liked the Mg40 for some reason it was one of my favourites.
-
I'm with Neil, somthing jammed in final drive gear between idler gear, but you would think you could free it by going the opposite direction!
-
More pictures which dad took.
Jonathan pushing the crawler up the ramp😀
-
You'll have to call in to give him a hand to unload it all!
-
Well, today Jonathan came for the skimmer, I also sold him my Mg40 due to it just being in storage.
Loading the skimmer went smoothly much to my relief, I was worried that we couldn't get it on, but I lifted the front and jammed a peice of wood between machine and auger which gave it some ground clearance.
No pictures as I was driving, I'm sure Jonathan will have one or two.
-
I once had a crawler that started once and ran really well, then I couldn't get it started, condensor looked new however after trying everything else I removed it to find the casing was empty and someone had just fitted the empty casing back into the magneto! Never did understand how the tractor ever ran!
-
Sounds like a typical day when you own a ransomes crawler!
-
First shot at free and cutting with the plasma, sketched horse on a sheet of steel and set too with the plasma!
-
That's how my lathe originally changed speeds, had one adjustable pulley opened and closed by a worm drive motor and the other is sprung, I just set it to the centre and use the inverter as the sped control motor was 3 phase.
-
Not too far from you Norm, he might ask you to come and collect it with him in a few weeks
-
Sold pending collection, I'm sure you can all guess who to.
-
-
Don't have the space to keep it.
-
No as it would hit the drive roller (yellow bit) the only thing I can do is to tilt it but it adds to the length.
This thing is pulled out but usually those to holes line up underneath the yellow bit
-
Put rear conveyor on to weld lugs back on, total length 20ft and I can stand under the rear roller and I'm over 6ft
-
I can tilt it and add plates like this. Ground clearance is 10" or so.
-
Not very comfy though..
I was thinking of perminantly raising it and adding a spacer to the driveshaft, as it would never be used for actual sand skimming.
Need one of those trailers that drops to the ground between the wheels and you lift it with hydraulics.
your welcome to pop up one day.
-
It could be moved if the front auger was lifted up, but the lower flanges will foul on the conveyor roller.
I think it would need a hiab on a truck rather than a trailer, or a very long ramp...
-
If you have deep enough pockets....
They were simply lifted from the side of the sand bed into the bed using a crane, that's all, never made to go up ramps or anything else.
-
Believe me it's a beast, especially when you engage the auger! It drives and steers really well though. Very impressive bit of engineering.
I haven't even got the rear conveyor on yet it's 8ft.
The trouble is the front auger only has about 1 1/2" ground clearance, it would be impossible to drive onto a trailer, I am coming to the realisation that I will have to move it on to someone more equipped, the trouble is putting a price on it, it's the only complete one known to exist.
I am looking into raising the front auger without cutting anything, maybe using plates.
-
Well after a fair bit of maneuvering I got the front auger into place!
-
After some fiddling with the engine, setting tappets and spark to TDC, it started up, too late for a test drive as it has no exhaust ATM. So a tad loud!
Brake pedals fitted up aswell as fuel tank.
Went and collected the other bits, I have underestimated the size of this, was a task loading it all by myself, with only the winch and boards to use, just have to get it off and onto the tractor somehow...

Join the que..
How did you search for that? It was originally supplied to the South Essex Waterworks Co. On the 7/3/1966 (straight from Ransomes) Bristol or Wessex must have baught it afterwords and registered it with the DVLA.
