  1. You may have to upgrade the wheels..
  2. Have the valve seats re cut, (I don't mean ground) and if need be helicoil the plug thread, should be OK after that, don't worry about the chunk out of the exaust port, as long as you can get a pipe in, it will be held by the bracket on the body.
  3. I would have brought a machine but I've got no floor an my trailer at the moment. I'll be down first thing Saturday.

    Ransomes ITW

Thanks, going to concentrate on getting the engine running right, I'm not keen on the drayton with its tendencies to run on the oil in the crankcase and over revv ect and become difficult to stop! Suppose it's avoided by draining regularly. May bring another machine to HVC rally, could do without any deadlines in case I've got the engine in bits! Sorry I can't sell you the ITW Jonathan, Janet said I've not to let you have it...
  10. Neil can supply paper copies, may can send you a PDF
  11. Ok, Neil may be able to supply one aswell or I can make one if your stuck. 2644 dates to late 1947, 1948 commences at 2675 to 3202.
  12. Hmm, MG2 parts are a bit harder to find, Neil Jarrett sells parts. njarrett@btinternet.com
  13. Guessing a Later MG2 or MG5 judging by the steel ID plate. The magnetos are fairly common, I'm sure you'll have it up and running soon.
