I'm on it chaps , been very busy recently trying to get my holiday cottage ready for rental so that has taken up a lot of my time ,
i am hoping to have a tinker with a couple of engine over the next few day and then send you what I have , thanx for your patience .
-
oh FFSake , that's disappointing , I know you and Nigel have been fettling with this patiently and it really sucks to get to this point of the resto to end up with a major problem like this , fear not guys I have a few extra engines that I could use , give me a little time and I will get something down to you , hopefully this will solve the problems and we will get to see Junior running around shortly
thanks for all your efforts Nigel ,Ian I do appreciate what you have done . Hugs n kisses
-
vegikev has mentioned insurance for garden tractors at,shows , if you bring a static exhibit does this have to have insurance too , as I may bring my senior but don't want to insure it just for one show ,
-
I thought T&M were not doing the horticultural section anymore , haven't bought the tractor porn mag for ages
-
Thanx for that information John, I have had a look in the Wheel horse dungeon n I have three other potential donors , one. Of which I bought off of Joe Papke from Michigan USA , it was bought as a spair for my RJ 58 but it could be used and does have the threaded exhaust section but it will need to be painted . So I think we may be able to solve the problem ,as for the old engineers concerned,we could use the shnake pull on new engine & I could do with a new paper weight anyway.
-
Hi chaps,
just returned home from Snowdonia , I have a couple of pics of the K91T engine that I have , I have never tried the engine but it has been repainted by previous owner who was also a Wheelhorse fanatic ,it has very good compression and I don't see why it shouldn't be a good doner aperture from the exhaust doesn't have a thread in the exhaust outlet so I'm not sure if the exhaust pipe that you have would fit . It would be a shame not to keep it as original as possible . I will take a look today at the other engines that I have to see if they would be more suitable
-
-
Wow, this is upsetting news, Ian, I have sent you a PM about another engine that I have that may solve the problem,
I am currently in Snowdonia at the moment , will get back to you tomorrow , Saturday!
-
Oh dear chaps ,sound like junior has been given you a good work out , I will ask Michael if he knows anything about the shnake engine pull , he did say I could exchange it if there were any problems as I payed him extra for that . He also said that the tank was possibly leaking and he may have another replacement .
Thank you sooooo much for your perseverance on this , I hope things start to get on your side soon .
-
Like everyone else says the patina on that tractor looks absolutely great , love to see them looking like that , is that the free tractor that I put you onto Chris ?
-
She is looking awesome , I wished I gave you the dozer blade that I have for her to be painted the same colour , you both have done an amazing job and I can't wait to see her doing som MPH .
-
Aren't they just awesome machines to watch , makes me want to go and take mine for a cruise .
-
I like to two little ones on the left 😁
-
They were lazer cut Norm , very good detail with clean lines & no burrs
-
Looks like I need to book a trip to Kent very soon & maybe catch a bit of sight seeing at the same time .
quick favour chaps , had a little thought , instead of sticking the decals on is it possible to stick the decals to a piece of magnetic paper ,so that I can just flip them on and off , if that makes sense .
amazing job chaps, you should be very proud of yourselves , top draw .
-
Not quite a ride on , but I have put this in the ride on section as there isn't really a relevant section for signs.
I was having a few signs made up recently for the house and was so impressed this young guys work that I wondered if he would make me a few Wheelhorse logo signs , I picked them up yesterday and was delighted at how they came out . One of them has been polished to a mirror finish & the other has been brushed steel affect . They were made out of 4 mm stainless steel to are very strong and naturally will not rust . I am that impressed with them I am going to make one of them a clock and am also having others made up into clocks .
let me know what you chaps think.
Anyone that may be interested in a clock I will show you the finished product soon and if your interested you can let me know . As you can imagine , the steel is the thick grade quality and stainless isn't cheep so the clocks won't be a £10 cheapy .
These particular signs are about 3 ft in length

Awesome driving Christian
beautiful tractor
-
I wished they sold these here in UK , very nice tractor
-
Nigel
have you thought about making a dozer blade for the suburban , not much involved in making one .
i have one of these should you need any measurements .
-
Wow , she's looking really cute Nigel , are you going to put an exhaust shield on?
