hi, i won this last night on a well known auction site, arranged to collect it on sunday and have had a message saying that the wh along with some other items have been stolen....it was located in battle sussex.....
i had a suffolk ploughing tractor a few years ago, it was supposed to be easy to steam but i always struggled even with high quality steam coal...your engine do look like true works of art
I have always found gumtree seems to be the best place for reasonably priced horses (my last one cost about the same as my weeks cigarettes, which you can read whichever way you want!) there always seems to much competition on fleaBay, though the Rotavators seem to be like rocking horse $***, and they are sought after and seem to fetch good money, if you see one, bag it! they come up so rarely. I was lucky when I got mine that it was listed wrong and no one else bid on it,
funny you mention gumtree ,iv bought another b111 last week off that site..........i was hoping to find some attachments and make some copies of them or renovate some......
thats a rare old lister you have there, the cs's are going up in value year on year,i have a cs6 starto matic next to my boat,we used it to run our washing machine........it seems to have a stuck valve at the moment so i will have to have a look when i get the time...............nice to see a restoration without being painted!!!!!
had quite a pleasent afternoon mowing today, the clutch starter switch is playing up so i shorted the wires, then the engine started hunting, i think iv narrowed that down to the fuel cap breather being blocked apart from that the b111 has been great,....its going to be nice adding to the wheel horse collection
im going to be looking for another wheel horse thats a little stronger built than my b111..what would i expect to pay for something with a rotovator and cutting deck? would prefer something older and bombproof..what are the best engines and gearboxs to go for etc etc??
hi, i went down country last night and bought another b111, funnily enough with the same gearbox troubles as my other wh...so iv had the day messing about and its now a five speed with sequential gears, iv used the hi/low position to make a gear shifter so when i get round to rebuiding the original i havent ruined the tin work...
hi, iv bought a wheel horse b111 from a friend who bought it to restore and hasnt had the time to sort it.....after a bit of messing about iv got the old girl running and cutting grass BUT there is no 1st gear and reverse works when it feels like it and never when you really need it....iv taken the gear stick out and looked for excessive wear on the gear stick and it looks ok??? the gearbox is a 6 speed..has anyone a spare i can buy or even a complete tractor?
