When I went out to the shed this morning I found out what the two clips do, they hold the grown-wheel and planet gears in, as I had a drain bucket full of parts
next move was to remove the tranny (didn't have room to tip the tractor upside down) and after a lot of head scratching I got all the parts back in and refitted the sump.
on moving the axle back under the tractor the nearside driveshaft slid out so stripped it down again and one of the locking clips wasn't rite in.
now its back in the tractor, just have to fill it with oil and see if it works

Don't know if it will all fit on that trailer Neil
-
I'll take if your gonna bin it mate thanks
-
I'll have the logs Ian thanks
-
-
Does that include the log store Ian
-
Just an update on the Hypo Horse, I took a chance and dropped the sump pan thingy without taking the axle out today, drained the oil and undone the bolts, very gently lowered it down
then my worst fears, a clatter and some bits fell out then I went in doors
-
I can do Tuesday all day with the big van, Ian
-
Wow that's looking good James, the welds look strong mate
-
Wow, that's nice, shame you havnt got a little workshop there Norm
-
Coming along James, i'am liking the engine, will sound nice on double stack pipes
-
Put me on the list of helpers Ian, I've got a BIG van
-
I was just going to say that, but Paul beat me to it.
The Anglia is a street car fitted with a 454 ci Big Block Chevy and 400 tranny, the owner said it makes 8 second passes at the Pod
I think the Major was fitted with a 6 cylinder Cargo engine, but only a guess, sounded nice tho

Just had an enjoyable 3 days at this show, had a bit of rain on Saturday but Sunday was sunny and warm and packed with people.
Heres a few photos of stuff I liked from cars with big engines to tractors with big engines
-
Looks like you need some more lug nuts Mark
-
Thursday already, have to get loaded up ready for the off tomorrow
-
Fantastic James, looks mean on the front, why don't you make it a skid steer, then you wont need a front axle
-
Looking good Mark, its going to be tough at Newby next year, gonna have to come up with a plan
-
Looks a nice little tractor Charlie, it will look great when you've done your bit to it
-
Wow, how big is your workshop, looks like you got some tasty kit in there !!

Happy Birthday Norm, hope ya get lots of horsey presents
-
It was very nice, powered by a diesel Lombardi twin, 4 stroke
-
The green tractor is Pauls Crawley, lost its diesel overnight, so he filled it up and bleed it, it made it to the arena display and konked out in the gateway, nice young lady towed him back
-
The International truck (tanker) was in one of the James Bond films
