The previous owner had asked a friend of his to sort it out after the starter cord broke, I got the cowling back in bits, so a swap with the one on the parts engine seems to be the easier option

We aim to please...

OK thanks for the advice I do have a "parts" engine that I am going to rob the whole cowling from...

"Dear LAGT magazine The Third UK Wheelhorse roundup took place at the Newby Hall rally in North Yorkshire after two successful years in Sussex. A variety of machines were on display with over 30 Wheelhorses booked to attend. Amongst those entered were our 1968 Commando 8 with Cyclone spreader. There were also custom machines such as the Rowcrop tractor and Trackhorse from Chris Sutton and Project C4 4WD machine from Mark Smith. As with many UK events this year Newby Hall was disrupted by bad weather but we will be going back to do the 560 mile round trip to next years show" (I did send more than two photos, these were the two that were printed)

Something uncommon from me... a Wheelhorse post Latest issue of Lawn and Garden Tractor magazine arrived today, I had written to the editor regarding Newby Hall, my letter and photos have appeared in print...

Not much mate, they made a rotary electric mower, chances of finding that pretty slim but I'll keep looking !!

Got this yesterday, its an O & R engine on a Tarpen rotavator, another Tarpen machine that I have been waiting to acquire for a long time...
