Tom 215 #1 Posted March 30, 2015 Hi all, I picked a wheel horse sickle bar up today, I'm pretty certain its wheel horse anyway. It's a cool bit of kit but I know nothing about these and I know I'm missing quite a few parts but it's a long term project I suppose. I'm not planning on restoring it as I reckon it would clean up nice. What do you think guys? Tom 3 Ian, Triumph66 and slf-uk reacted to this

meadowfield 1,900 #5 Posted March 30, 2015 You need to look up the parts manual for it, might just be a mule missing. It looks like it should fit though

Anglo Traction 1,016 #8 Posted March 30, 2015 Nice attachment to have if you can sort the missing parts. Can't be sure but I think WH Sickles and other machines were made by HABAN?. If you want to see an image of what may be missing, use this link to view one in the Redsquare Gallery- http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/topic/981-sms-425-42-sickle-bar-mower/ 1 OldBuzzard reacted to this

Tom 215 #10 Posted March 30, 2015 Thanks all for the positive comments, I really appreciate it. Also thanks for the links to manual and pictures, I've learnt a lot about it just in the space of 5 minutes of flicking through various manuals and pictures. It seems I am missing a pulley assembly and a lift rod, well that's what I've found so far. I may have a lead on a pulley assembly but it's early days yet, I will keep you all posted.. OldBuzzard 186 #15 Posted April 5, 2015 ... Can't be sure but I think WH Sickles and other machines were made by HABAN? ... Haban did indeed make a Sickle-Mo for some of the WH models. However, I don't think that the one pictured is a Haban unit. Here are a few pics of the Haban model 414 Sickle-Mo that was for the WH GT14, Electro 12, Charger 10 & 12, and Raider 10 &12. 1 Triumph66 reacted to this
