Amberley Spring Mechanicals Day

According to their flyer, Amberley Museum in West Sussex had their Spring Mechanicals Day today...

 

We went for a look as we had not visited the museum for many years. It is based in the old Chalk Pits at Amberley and has many interesting

displays including a Southdown Bus garage, Industrial railway, the actual kilns themselves, a large woodturning and woodcraft area and many more attractions, well worth a visit.

 

Lurking by the bus stop, in direct sight of the café we found Mr Showman and Steve Durrant with their machines, there was also plenty of other machinery to look at.

Good photos as usual Paul, wasn't as busy as last year i guess everyone went to the beach instead.

we had a good day with lots of interest in the chicken plucking machine and the rowcrop.

the mag started to play up this afternoon so I didn't run the engine long and sat and had ice cream instead.

Not been there for ages so I will endeavour to visit Amberly sometime.

It was a bit warm, Chris and Steve had the right idea in a nice shady spot !!
