Potash123 26 #1 Posted December 9, 2016 This runs and blows well, BUT is blowing out engine oil. I suspect a crankshaft seal ?? Shall I throw it down the tip or can it be repaired without a load of aggravation. many thanks Colin
Wristpin 400 #2 Posted December 9, 2016 Just depends. If the seal has gone due to a bad bearing its possibly not worth doing but if just the seal, give it a go. If you are not paying labour charges there's little to loose.

Anglo Traction 1,016 #4 Posted December 9, 2016 As mentioned..Junk it. I'll bet the screws retaining the 2 parts of the Crankcase have loosened. There is only 3 of them (Phillips head). Cr--p design I thought about stripping one down and fitting more and proper bolts and dowels, but only thought about it for 1/2 a second !.
C-101plowerpower 548 #5 Posted December 10, 2016 you can allways take it apart to see how it all works and such and then chuck it, might aswell learn something before you throw it out 3 Wallfish, Stormin and squonk reacted to this
Wallfish 698 #6 Posted December 11, 2016 I'm with C101. Pull it apart to check it out and fix it if easy enough. Nothing to loose if you are junking it anyway. Plus those small pistons and rods make a nice little key chain. 1 squonk reacted to this
squonk 71 #7 Posted February 12, 2017 Friend of mine builds 2 stroke racing kart motors. He'll get his hands on something like this when he's bored and hot rod it and then see how long it will run before BOOM! 2 Wallfish and Stormin reacted to this
