Anglo Traction 539 Posted February 1 Superb quality job Ewan. After all the various skills you've applied to finish this project, the result will never cease to put a smile on your face when you see/ride it. 1 Cub Cadet reacted to this

Cub Cadet 491 Posted March 5 Little bit more done recently, the throttle was missing so looking at a few photos I mocked one up in card that looked about right and then cut it out in a piece of scrap, it will do for now if it works. 5 Stormin, Anglo Traction, Alan and 2 others reacted to this
Cub Cadet 491 Posted April 2 A little more progress now I’m home for Easter break. I remade the throttle out of some thicker steel and gave it all a coat of paint. We are using bike brake cables for the linkage. Not an exact match to the original but I’m pleased since I made it up from some photos. 4 Alan, Anglo Traction, meadowfield and 1 other reacted to this

Anglo Traction 539 Posted April 4 As already mentioned, great work Ewan . your decision to remake it in thicker steel was the wise one. It look's perfect for purpose and good to see you chose to place a gasket between it and the paintwork........quality ! . .......and the good, clear images in your posts also make all the difference. 1 Cub Cadet reacted to this

Thanks Richard, the original one was only ever going to be a template but once i'd made it I couldn't be bothered to remake it out of thicker steel. One of the holes was too small so it forced me to remake it but i'm glad I did I always try to save the paint if I can however it will inevitably get chipped at some point

Cub Cadet 491 Posted April 8 So apart from a few parts still to make and bits still to finish painting the RJ looks about finished. We've had the RJ running for about an hour solid today and we haven't had any issues which is good. Here are some photos. 3 the showman, Stormin and Anglo Traction reacted to this
