A little more progress now I’m home for Easter break. I remade the throttle out of some thicker steel and gave it all a coat of paint. We are using bike brake cables for the linkage. 

 

Not an exact match to the original but I’m pleased since I made it up from some photos.

As already mentioned, great work Ewan :thumbs:. your decision to remake it in thicker steel was the wise one.

It look's perfect for purpose and good to see you chose to place a gasket between it and the paintwork........quality ! :bow: .

.......and the good, clear images in your posts also make all the difference.

Thanks Richard, the original one was only ever going to be a template but once i'd made it I couldn't be bothered to remake it out of thicker steel. :ph34r: One of the holes was too small so it forced me to remake it but i'm glad I did :) 

I always try to save the paint if I can however it will inevitably get chipped at some point  <_<
