This project was something I had in my head for a while. Being a lover of Wheelhorse's and tracked vehicles having driven diggers and alike for years, I looked at a few MG's but didn't like the metal tracks One day a friend gave me a Wheelhorse A 90, it came from a school and had a seized engine and had been partly dismantled to stop the children playing with it, this started me thinking, all I had to do was find something on rubber tracks, narrow enough to go through a garden gate and have forward and reverse gears rather than hydromatic.

Here are some pictures of a reproduction Seller's 1925, 48" Klearfront cabinet that I built a few years ago. The cabinet was constructed from red oak and poplar purchased from a sawmill. All parts were planed, cut, shaped, and built by me. The hardware is all reproduction items from various vendors. It took me 8 weeks to complete. I had fully restored a similar cabinet back in 2002. I finished making the modifications to raise the fenders, and everything fit well. I took a couple pics when it was assembled, so you can see the clearance between the fenders, and tire. I also bolted a new seat on, just to see how it would look. Hopefully it will get painted this weekend, although I still have alot of sanding, and decal removal before that can happen. Matt

Very nice find Richard! It looks to be in great shape, and it must have been intended to be around radio equipment, and such for it to have the shielded plug, and wire. Briggs didn't change the design much thru the years, as here is one of mine from 1945. Matt

who said that there is a limit to everything cos when it come to re vamp these red horse you set your own limits, my little garden tractor has three point linkage but that is manually operated so this is of great interest to me as i have been trying to get it changed to operate hydraulically thanks for sharing this experimental crafting of your machine its top draw stuff

As some of you might have guessed, I like big wheels and tractors. Here's a few of my favourites from last years Newby Hall show - this years venue for the UK wheel horse round up my dad is is one of the shots - if you thought you recognised him...

Back in 2006 my wife wanted a wine bar for the living room, but the more we looked at places like World Market, Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn... the more we realized that everything nowadays is just laminated MDF. We wanted something real. So we came up with the idea of using an antique icebox, and started looking at flea markets and antique malls. We looked for well over six months to find one with two large doors rather than the more common three door models. We found one that had been gutted by a previous owner, and I retrofitted the interior, making no changes or damage to the original piece. She drew up the design and I blueprinted it to fit the dimensions we had. It holds 9 wine glasses in a stemware holder from Lowes, and 30 standard sized wine bottles. (27 in the right and 3 at the bottom left) The shelf on the top left is for the bottle opener. Wish I would have thought to take more pictures of it as it went together. The rack on the right is built completely out of 3/4" square oak stock. There are four vertical posts that were routed out 1/4" on two opposite sides to nest the horizontal resting bars into. Horizontal bars were glued and brad nailed. When I was done it mapped out to 27 perfectly identical squares, with the perfect depth for horizontal wine storage. Essentially I built it as a kit and did final assembly inside the ice box itself. We like it. It's held up through a household move and now 7 years later still holding wine bottles.
