    Laughton Country Show

As some of you are awear I was away this weekend just gone at laughton country show, it's not a very big show but it's big enough, a nice varirity of exhibits,.. On the friday, (day of arrival) it was very drizzly, wet, cold... However over the weekend it brightened right up Sunday was actully quite hot... I didn't get many pictures, however here is a fair few... An old field marshall running an old bailer and threshing display, Crawley Ride On Tractor Wheel horse commando 7 Mini LandRover Trike, with a robin reliant engine Two ford tractors, like brand new fully restored. Farmalls Massy harris, hadn't seen one of these until now, Another little tractor I liked was this allis chambers, it was mid size, smaller then a grey furgy but bigger then a wheel horse, not sure on the model? I'd like to find out though.... Strange rover. These are not a kit, nor is it home built... They are factory made in Japan, a few have been imported into the UK built on a little Suzuki van. I think he got a bit lost.... Came through the camping field. Here's a 2 for you land rover boys... There was also a wedding, the bride arrived by steam, once pronounced husband and wife, all the steamers blew there whistles was rather loud... Haha!

'Harvesting The Old Fashioned Way' - 2014

Located in West Stoke, Chichester, West Sussex on September 6th-7th 2014, we got to experience some old fashioned harvesting, and some other interesting vehicles I didn't take any photos of The Villagers' display. You guys know what that looks like

    Project "Why Not"

Not much of an update I'm afraid, but work on "Why Not" has started again.. After a much needed clean-up in the shack the rest of the Reliant axle was stripped down.. All the brake gubbins was removed from the axles.. The steel bar behind the axle is what I will be making the sleeves out of. One side of the axle housing cleaned up and unneeded brackets removed... I may or may not reuse the outer axle mounts, so they will stay on for now until I decide. Then after a chat with Nigel about how "Why Not" should look when it's finished, I found myself armed with a craft knife, a can of silver polish, and an old sock!! And polished up a bit of one of the rocker covers to see how it looked! I fear a "full on" custom paint job may be in order
