Getting Ready For RPT and TF

I had a bit of time today to sort out my 600. It fired up on its first pull after 4 months being laid up. I gave it a quick service such as topping up the engine oil, pumped up the rear tyres and greased all the nipples. I also gave it a quick run and then rubbed the bodywork down with wire wool and treated it to the oily rag treatment to accentuate its patina. I will give it another wipe over one evening. I am looking forward to catching up with everyone and have a mooch around the two shows.

    Alarming.

Had this little alarm lying around at the back of the bench for some years. It was in a little hand held box with a push button. Carol's mother who had Parkinsons and was wheelchair bound and couldn't really speak used it to attract Carol's father's attention. I'd no idea what I was going to use it for, until yesterday. It is now fitted under the bonnet of the Sears/Roper. Link to video.Takes a couple of minutes. P1020339.MP4 Only works when ignition on, but I may wire it up to a micro switch under the seat.

    Alarming.

Here is some data for the other two wires (from my 1993 RS components catalogue, I found nothing online & it seems to be discontinued), apparently this alarm can do nine different tones depending how the green/yellow wires are connected. David

JUST TAKING IT FOR AN MOT OFFICER.

My brothers first car was a 59 Chevy Impala with vice grips for steering, a screw driver to shift and he had to put the starter on and off to start the car.
