Paid a visit to Jonathan, (expeatfarmer) while out this morning. As we talked and perused his latest acquisition, something caught my eye under a bench. A length of stainless pipe with a flap on. Surplus to his requirements, it found it's way into the Discovery. Back home and a bit of scrating about in the workshop, some welding, some lath work, some drilling and the result is below. Not what I expected to do today, so thanks Jonathan.

Just looked up the catalogue. Good price. Got a card for a vat free night. Unfortunately spending rather a lot on the house at the moment.

The other day I received a letter purporting to be from the Post Code Lottery. It said my ticket had won a considerable sum. I was a little suspicious as I don't have and never had a Port Code Lottery ticket. It also said in had been drawn in Spain and also asked for a registration fee. Which of course would need me to give them my bank details. No chance! Be warned.

Didn't you try cutting fence posts down with that last year? Or was that t'other one? BTW. If I squint, I can see my house on that photo'.

A little bit more done today. A front light lens graphic, to replace the broken lens came from Mark in the post. So that was fitted to the lens I made, along with the nicely painted light case. I also fitted the rear lights. I also painted two standard hitches and a slot hitch, plus some other bits.

Looks in reasonable condition. Just surface rust. Be good if it runs.

I like that idea. No bags to heave around and no chance of forgetting to buy more when needed.

Got a bit done today. Bonnet fitted, replacement front light lens cut out and new solenoid fitted. Also made a start on an exhaust.

I think you could be right with your guess about the hitch, Andy. Makes sense. I've got a couple of those little Wheel Horse decals. Came with the C-81 I think. (Unless Richard sent them.) I assumed to fit the gear change knobs. I've not done so though.
