  1. I've two of those. Well one original really and one I made. I was wondering if that extra bit on your hitch, Tom was something some thing to do with a different model of snowplough.
  2. Is that what that is under the hitch, Neil? Or is there something I can't see?
  3. Why do you need snow chains with a sickle bar?
  4. Nice find. How does it attach to the tractor? Question answered.

That's a lube' system for the axles.
  6. 14hp Chris. It did run well. Photo makes it look in better nick than it was though. A good paint job is all really needed.

    What's the engine, Nigel?
  8. Brake fluid is a good paint stripper. Rinse off with boiling water.
  9. The one I have advertised in the for sale, still is. I'd like it myself, but I'd not use it enough.
  10. That looks in fair condition, Jonathan. What year is it?
  11. Mark, after being on gate duty from 6am t0 10am I was walking on water.
  12. Been over there today. Taking the marquees down and loading the curtain side trailer plus two twin axles. Beautiful sunshine and a gentle breeze. Typical! I've only know Jonathan for about 20 years. Give me time and I'll start getting your name right.
  13. Now that's a handy little machine.
  14. He might if it was the colour of his choice.
  15. Sunday 3rd was the annual HVC rally at Carlisle Airport. Setting up started on the Friday morning and carried on all day Saturday. On Saturday a strong bitterly cold wind blew all day. Sunday morning the heavens opened but cleared up later in the afternoon. Needless to say, a good number of exhibitors didn't show, but most did. Lots of tractors, cars, commercials etc. The garden tractor section was rather poorly represented.. Only 7 machines in total turned up. Jonathans and Rys Ransomes, my two Wheel Horses plus one from Gretna. 2 others, make slips memory. It was good to meet Rys at last, who travelled down from Scotland in what can only be described as atrocious weather. He ended up with second place. Jonathan took first. Hand tools etc where in the big marquee into which I didn't get. Photo are few I'm sorry to say. Weather and rally duties getting in the way. The Ransomes of Jonathan and Rys. The Wheel Horse from Gretna fitted with a 14hp Kubota diesel engine. There was a few Barford and Howard rotavators in the auction, but I didn't get chance to photograph those, sorry.
  16. A lot depends on the judge on the day, Jonathan. Some will go for a nice, sympathetic restoration. There's some, who are in Land Rover terms, are rivet counters. Others for one in it's working clothes. Some will deduct points if it won't run or in the case of cars etc, if trailered to the show. The wrong engine and modern fitments, will lose points. In the end, there are no hard and fast rules.
  17. It looks like one. Google Petter PA2 engine.
  18. According to a bit of research, they were made by the same company. Also I think that's a t600 not a t300. I'm also getting ideas that could get me in trouble.
  19. They did use Villiers engines mostly. Though I think the Norman Nippy had an Italian one.
  20. It's a T300. As they can date from the 1940s, could well be a connection with Norman motorcycles. I'll be up to Jonathans for a look see next week.
  21. That's an interesting engine, Jonathan. Nice find.
  22. So are my two, Paul. Prefer them to the kids. Less bother.
  23. Sorry to hear about Bella. Your as daft as me with my dogs.
