In hindsight I should have done the roof conventional style. It is supported with trusses.
I have since added support under the trusses and boarded making storage space above.
Been a camper for years. Tents and caravans. We used to tour but not now.
I still use this Oz tent on occasion.
We have this caravan on a permanent site just over the border in Scotland. Just an hour away and try to get there as much as we can at weekends.
I also do rally and trial marshalling about 6 times a year.
The rest of my time is taken up trying to be retired.
High tide again today so went to take some photos.
This is the start of the marsh road. Yesterday it was nearly up to the top of the embankment and the water was quite rough.
Looking over the marsh.
Further down the coast.
Let the dogs have a good run here. On return to the Land Rover, I found I'd lost my keys. I spent a good hour back tracking only to find them about 100ft from the landy. Where's the mopping brow smiley?
H.V.C. rally at Carlisle Airport. May 4th.
Tractors, cars, wagons, steamers, horticultural etc. Large auction. Exhibitor camping/caravan.

Or send me a PM with your address and I'll get a form sent to you.
Now then, maybe a northern chap can help here. My father gave me one of those, or similar. I gave it to one of the son-in-laws. I think he still has it. I'll check tomorrow.
I built this out of what I had lying around, in anticipation of snow last winter. I'm still waiting.
First a frame was made using some 1-5/8 bore pipe and box section.
Then the front end put together
The blade was made at the local smithy. No rollers big enough, so it was curved in stages on a folder.
I made my own tach-o-matic for the rear.
Then this dodgy character nicked it.
I'll have to put up a photo of the generator I've got. Single cylinder diesel. 240 and 110 volt. It's buried in a corner of the workshop now and I can't give details as to make or anything.
High winds and rain today. Went over to youngest daughters this morning. She lives at Silloth on the coast. I decided to return along the marsh road which is something I often do.
As I left the tide was running high, with waves breaking over the prom in places. Reaching the start of the marsh road, I could see the road was covered with choppy water reaching half way up the flood bank.
Decided discrection the better part of valour and turned back.
