Hello Paul,
It may sound like a silly question... But Is this an english magazine, or from the states... .? I haven't heard of it...

Hello James, glad you've made it here now. nice horse! Also, I do like the VW in the last picture,
Welcome to my old machine enjoy!
-
That's a shame that it won't fit on bendy Mark... Is there nothing you can do to maybe mod/adapt your plough so it will fit?
And Ranger, that's some nice bit of kit,... It's a tight fit getting the wheel horse blade in the shed.. Don't think I'd manage to get that blade in there ;)

Hello All,
Today I said good bye to my 4 wheeled cart, which freed up enough room in the shed to take my two lawn rangers from the patio and put them into a dry place ... well its not 100% water tight in there... whilst out there I got all the tractors, engines, mowers and machines I have running, too keep everything moving and oiled up. Anything that was on the patio or out and about I've now put it all away and under cover in the shed for the winter... I know its early being only October but with college now by the time I get back home its dark and cant get out there and do anything,..
So with that, I decided to get the raider 10 set up and ready for winter duties I got some 12 mm thick rubber matting this summer knowing i would use it next time i got my snow plow out instead of the tyre we had to cut up last year I think it looks far better with this rubber skirt than the tyre..... Today I got the plow fitted onto the raider 10......here's to hoping....that's if we even get snow this winter... here is some pics....
I forgot how much of a tight fit it was.....
Whats your guys set ups going to be this winter?

Looks fantastic Ian, very modern, better than mine, mines not even waterproof... I guess you won't be needing a log burner in this one

Seems to be I've got free listings on the bay this weekend, so had a little rummage, I came across these, I've had them for a while but I thought I'd offer them on here first,
Very well looked after, no damage, every page intact, 1982 pages of pure Classic/vintage/old motoring manuals, tips and how too's.
Marshall Cavendish 'On The Road HandBook' here I have volumes 1-5. 1982 pages of step-by-step guide for every motorists on how to maintain, repair and improve your vehicle. These are filled with all sorts of information, from changing an air filter to servicing a V8

Hello All,
This is worth a shot, but Im not getting my hopes up as I know there's not a great market for these, and esspically with the name, 'charlie smith' on the front, but that can be taken off and painted over.
I've started driving lessons and need a few extra bucks to help me get through the insurance at the end is rather eye watering to say the least... So I'm having a little clear out...
So here for sale my 4 wheeled cart/trailer/trolley it's around 5ft long and 3ft wide, its also a drop down and removable tail board.
I've never really seen one for sale, so I'm just going to say if anyone's interested, shoot me an offer we can go from there.
Many thanks

its really coming along mate, well done, keep the pictures coming...
-
Looks great. Really starting to look the piece... Well done mate.
-
I'd be very interested, but I could only just afford it if you took one of the zeros away,
It's a shame you have to get rid of it but I guess you're right, sometimes we have to do this sort of thing... I hope it goes to someome here that will give it a very good home..
-
Looks good mate, keep us updated!
-
Looking great! Lovely workshop too, second what chris said, got some lovely kit in there.
-
Wow I'd love to set up something like that, I see a lot you use e tanks and them seam very affective... Would save me a lot of time with the man power and sand paper....! Is there anyone out there that knows there stuff and is willing to tell me fully how you set an 'e tank' up?
Many thanks

Hello all,
As most of you know I have recently purchased another Lawnranger, and unlike my other two wheel horse I wanted to try and find a cutting deck, I normally get rid of my decks as I use other stuff that runs under the chassis, however on this one I'd like to have a mower deck if it's possible..... Can somone tell me what model deck I need? Will any others fit? Are are they hard to find?
Many thanks

Is the horticulture section back????
Also can anyone tell me do they still have there sections like 'hedgerow finds' etc,

Very nice little machine, keep it original. If it was mine I wouldn't even paint it! And Im in full agreement here about the tecumseh engines,
I know many of people that wouldn't give tecumseh engines a lookin' I assume this is only through past experience, however I have three machines that have tecumsehs as there power unit, A tecumseh H60 a HH-100 and a V80 they have all needed work when I purchased them, but once you get them sorted, the run just like the others, (this is just my opinions)
-
Indeed it seems it does. I must say it looked better with the body on
Thanks Paul.
It may end up that way... i've got a few days to think it through yet
-
I started the strip down today on the lawnranger, I manged to remove the engine and fiberglass body. I can now get onto the welding... as it needs a fair bit.. but fear not all shall be done in good time... it appears it has been out in the weather a fair bit however due to how the rust has run in like a water puddle shape, I had a good look around and noticed that the old {very old} battery has a crack in the bottom and on one edge, so I was assuming maybe the battery acid didn't help the rusting process much.
The steering is going to need some sorting out... due to rust once again....
The engine has a spark when pulled by hand (starter motor didn't work) however the fuel lines, tank and carb are full of a wonderful smelling solid gloopy mess!!.... I've now freed the starter motor up and it works lovely, (saves pulling it by hand)
next job will be keep some metal sheeting/plate and weld the chassis up.....
here is some pictures.

ooo i like the guessing game...... is it a Crawley 75?

Hello all,
As some of you are aware I have just picked up a 1973 lawn ranger, 80% of the tractor is either some sort of fibreglass material, or plastic of some sorts... I know how I can prep the metal and other bits, I just wasn't too sure on what's the best way to prep the fibreglass? Is there a paint stripper that will work, but won't damage the fibreglass, I was thinking to my self it's maybe not best to use sand paper as you may mark the fibreglass?
Any suggestions,
Thanks

Bit late, but happy birthday..
-
Thank you very much Richard.
And it's looking that way isnt it Mark, about the choke knob, I'm sure I can source an original one from somewhere.
Not around until Thursday now. So watch this space and more will be posted.
-
I looked a little closer at the engine this morning, however rain has now stopped play... I'm not too sure if its a V70 as it looks a bit different in shaping, however it is a Tecumseh with a serial number: 2325D
As for other stuff this morning i didn't get much done due to rain, but the tractor model number is: 2-0230
serial: 129 129 ?
whilst removing the bonnet this morning, something popped into my head. i know a lot of you have little names and nick names for your machines, so i thought why not... whilst removing the bonnet the name popped into my head, 'Iron Man' and this is why...... what with the headlights, the bonnet and grill...
Last thing, can someone tell me is there anything missing round the gear lever, it looks like something has been cut out?
-
That's great thanks Mark! Top lad! Will post back here tomorrow after I've had a good poke about...
