    Look familiar?

    Can't help thinking the tank needs rotating 90 degrees if it's permanently attached to a truck as shown above, also notice who sold it.

    P.S. There are about 12 editions of Desert magazine from between 1961 & 1963 with O&R powered products, I need to get links added to the sticky thread as PDF's are available for all of them.

    Got this one painted in record time. 5 years 2 months plus. Woo Hoo! Started on this project way back in Jan of 2015 and the engine is the one from the rebuild pics thread. The coil was recently changed back to an old school version since that's what was originally on the engine. Finally it's close enough to see the light at the end of the tunnel after pecking away at it for an hour or 2 at a time over the last couple weeks. This is too cool and rare of a piece to be left sitting in pieces out in a forgotten box. Not sure what I was think'n.
    Still need to paint the tank , touch up quite a few spots damaged on the yellow, figure out a decal and it appears there should be a chain guard on the front because of holes in the one on it, so maybe that too. Still not sure about winding on the cable or not. It's kind of heavy without it and there's no handle to carry it. All that cable is pretty heavy just on it's own. Seems it was designed to just be mounted and not so much portable.
    That Rustoleum paint seems like it never hardens so it's a PITA not scrape up during assembly.
    Started with this and now up to that.

    Still haven't seen any-more of these K.C. Wiggins Champ generators apart from the Fox powered one and the O&R powered version I have;
    I never noticed before that the fuse positions are swapped on your generator, are the fuse ratings labelled?

    Its an Amp Champ Generator with an Italian Fox F7 engine in it, the last two photos show it with my Ohlsson Rice powered version...

    CNew reacted to factory in O&R in 1962 Sears Catalog
    That's interesting, those prices from Sears in 1962 are lower than buying from O&R in either 1961 or 1963 , thanks for sharing.

    Here are the equivalent O&R engine models & prices;
    32FA8800, 3300 RPM no clutch = Model D, 1961 $47.95, 1963 $47.85
    32FA8801, 3300 RPM with clutch = Model G, 1961 $48.95, 1963 $49.25
    32FA8802, 1700 RPM no clutch = Model E, 1961 $47.95, 1963 $47.85
    32FA8803, 1700 RPM with clutch = Model H, 1961 $48.95, 1963 $49.95
    32FA8804, throttle control = A-50, 1961 & 1963 $1.00

    The 1961 brochure/price list is in the manuals sticky thread if you haven't seen it (Section 1), I still need to add the 1963 one.

    Hope it works out, I didn't make an offer as I've spent too much recently (that minibike mostly), plus the £ has dropped in value a lot (TP will be worth more soon ).

    CNew got a reaction from factory in Ohlsson & Rice: Cut-away Engine
    Here’s the cut-away engine after a minimally invasive cleanup job and installation of a recoil starter reel, spring, rope and knob. I’m almost 100% sure I want to display it on this gas tank but I’m still contemplating it just a little bit. I will probably do a bit more thorough cleaning later. Still debating also making a cut-away gear box to go with it.  (I’ll fix the rope knot too, got excited to take photos before realizing I didn’t finish the knob)

    Let me see what the decals from Sugarcreek look like first if they ever get here.

    The Homelite buttons are a perfect fit. It snapped on to the oiler shaft like it belonged on there without any modifications. Just needed to tap it with a rubber mallet.  I like the size too

    It's from the 1962 Sears Suburban, Farm Supplies and Fencing catalog. I have found this catalog to be a gold mine when it comes to identifying vintage Sears Equipment. Finding the O&R listed was a nugget!

    Almost done, just waiting on a chain cover decal from Sugarcreek and get the oiler knob on.

    This little chain cover reminded me why painting is low on the fun list. Sanded and cleaned for the 1st coat then the 2nd coat flaked in some spots because of not waiting for the alcohol to completely evaporate. Start over and strip it for the new paint. Everything went well until a run right on the face of it during the second coat. Strip and clean it again. Then during the 2nd coat of the 3rd go, I dropped it on the floor.   Started over again and 4th time's a charm.

    Being a gluten for punishment, the next project needs a full paint job with quite a few pieces, so hopefully there's no need for a BFH !!!!!
    Doing this stuff at night after work didn't really leave much time for patience but it seems time shouldn't be an issue soon. In order to do our part concerning the current circumstances we will be closing the doors after this week and holding on tight until this virus spreading can be controlled. Technically we can still work and operate because of some loopholes in the directive but being part of the problem is the problem. Some sacrifice may be part of a solution, maybe not. But doing nothing to help is definitely not part of any solution IMO.
    I'll figure it out after a couple to a few weeks but hopefully the O&R collection doesn't need to go up for sale at bargain prices to stay a float. You bargain hunter O&R vultures aren't eating here! LoL
