  1. Norlett Sickle Bar Cutter.

Just painted and fit on tractor....Seems to work ok...Looking for some longish grass to try out properly.

When we go to our next show we should have a nice cut area....I hope..

Might  need a rake and baler...If its to long..

Might be next job making a rake... :fingerscrossed:  :fingerscrossed:  :fingerscrossed:  :fingerscrossed:

  2. Hi there Tom and Co.

The sickle bar width is only about 24"

Just painted it now..  Going away for a few days..So when I get back I will fit together and slot on.

Then show it working.(problem being no long grass about).

Made it to fit on the quick hitch...30 seconds and its on and away. :fingerscrossed:  :fingerscrossed:  :fingerscrossed:

  3. My sickle bar Conversion..Getting it ready to clean up and paint.

Had it working as Meadowfield  (Mark) showed earlier.

Bit narrower than My Norlett ... But could extend it either side in needed.

Will post pictures of if working when done painting... I hope..  post-143-0-20171500-1409499879_thumb.jpg

  4. Hello any body that's interested.

Just loaded trailer up with two Lawn Rangers ready to go to Driffield Steam Gathering In the morning.

Its our last show this year. Will be there with Meadowfield  and Lads.

Its a good show as Meadowfield as said.Plenty of steam Small and Large.

Some thing for every body. Good road run Sat night into Driffield...Plenty of noise Whistle blowing Horns a Hooting.

All in a good cause for Charity?

Hope some of you can make it.

  5. Went and picked up the magnum 8 engine.

came with all the bits needed.

Ignition switch,Throttle cable,Battery leads,Fuel line and Filter Etc.

Put some fuel in,Connected to battery, turned key.

Half a dozen turns and hey presto it runs as sweet as a nut.

So a bit of a clean and a oil change and air filter will be ready to fit in Norlett tractor.

But will be later on in year after some of the shows have done.

Photos of transplant will follow. :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

  6. Yes the last westwood I had.Had a Lombardini Diesel in it

Was brill but very noisy Started up on the key if battery was charged

but could be started by pull cord.

some times sorry to them being sold.

Bought one for our grandson to fettle up two or three years ago.

Meadow field might put some photos on here to show every body how it looked :woohoo:  :woohoo:

  7. As Mark said I had one for years in our garden

Came from when I worked for a civil engineering company (many moons ago)

Used it for drying parts of tarmac so you lay fresh tarmac over the top

Other wise tarmac or asphalt  doesn't stick when there is water about

  8. Yes you will have guessed.

Wrong engine Etc So had to fit K and N filter

B/S Carb and filter wouldn't fit under bonnet

Notice exhaust and heat shield to keep heat away from fibre glass bonnet

Trying to beat Mark (meadowfield) to have it finished for our first outing

  9. Attaching wheel rim to tyre machine before soaping tyre.

    First fitting tyre over rim.

Using our other tyre machine attachment with wheel to press tyre on.

    Stops catching freshly painted rims.

Finished product. all tyres now on painted rims ready to fit.

Next job painting (weather permitting) :fingerscrossed:  :fingerscrossed:
