  1. I will try to get a photo tomorro. The recoil is square and bolts on to the housing with 4 screws. It says 1973 on the engine.
  2. I am putting together a chicken power recoil. I have the spring in and I put the rope threw the hole in the spool and tie a small knot in it on the side the spring goes on the spool. I put a roune piece looks like cardboard on the spool and I fix it so the knot lies on top of the round paper piece but when I put everything in the housing the recoil rubbs but if I remove the paper piece it works find. What am I missing thanks.
  3. I get my water pump running but when I shut it off gas is going in to the carburetor. I put new diaphragm in it also. I noticed that the ball is not stopping the fuel so I have to try to figure it out a friend put it together wrong.
  4. On the exhaust I put the rubber gaskets on like you said with the curve part toward the exhaust manifold then there is a bigger metal ring and I put it on the cylinder with the curve down to match the gasket then do you put the 2 smaller metal ring gaskets on then the o ring?
  5. Is there a parts list with numbers I can get for the ohlsson tinuy tiger and other compack engines?I found a o & r seal PN 400310 someone had is that a crank shaft seal?
  6. When you are putting the gaskets on the cylinder you first put the thin metal ring with larger diameter on the cylinder then the 2 thicker round gaskets then the exhaust and 2 metal rings?
  7. Yes it did because the tank and line got dirty so now I shortened the metal tubing and put a filter on flex line that is slightly larger hole so it is not bent as much and I tightened it with a wire tie. I am waiting for the tank plate to dry on the tank to try it.
  8. I took the tank apart on a 300 watt generator with the tank on the bottom and made sure the tube was clean and I put a string trimmer filter and a short piece of hose on the bottom of the metal tubing and now it has trouble getting fuel to the carburetor.
  9. I made a gas tank using a half pint metal maple sourp can. I drilled the cap just large enough to fit the fuel line in to and it works well.
  10. I was looking inside the generator housing and there is 2 wires that come from the 120 volt plug but there is also another wire that goes to the fields on each side of the wall plug wires. A friend looked and he said they go to diodes. Are they replaceable and what do they do thanks.
  11. Do you know where I can find a quieter muffler for it? and I found out the chain saw flywheel is 86mm and I thought my flywheel is 3 and a half inches.
  12. I tightened the nut a little more but did not leak but it did not quiet it down. There is a screen before the muffler which is good also
  13. Sorryy I put 3 of the center sections together from the muffler then the muffler at the end but the exhaust leaks between the joints before the muffler.
  14. I put 3 of them together but they leak at the seems. How would you seal them?
  15. I was wondering John if will the mustang ohlsson chain saw flywheel fit a tiny tiger engine?
  16. The generator is quite noisy and I heard you can put more than 1 mufferler on them. I did it years ago but forgot what parts I need. I know 2 mufflers and a longer hook. Isn't there some kind of adapter I forgot thanks.
  17. I have a generator with fuel tank on the bottom and it is clogged. I am going to try carb cleaner and air to free it but what is inside a metal pipe or flexible fuel line. The other generator I have some one put a rubber fuel line inside the tank.
  18. I got my generator running but the flywheel nut keeps comming loost.
  19. It was the other side but a friend saw where it was worn so he told me the fatter part of the bearing holder goes toward the generator.
  20. I am going to put a generator together and on the generator end on the shaft there is a washer that goes above the snap ring and a bearing goes on. Does the larger opening of the bearing go up then the generator cover? thanks.
  21. Thanks for the link and I posted a reply on what happened to me with the gas tank.
  22. My tank was leaking also so I heated the plate and removed it. I replaced the rubber fuel line and filter that was on the tube and after I cleaned the tank and plate I coated the edges with cream gas tank sealer and put it together. Then I made a mistake. I put some cream inside the gas tank to reaseal the inside edges. It disolved the rubber fuel line so I had to take it apart and just seal the edges and now i am letting it cure.
  23. Thanks John and I was looking at a engine I have which has a flange on the end but you can't get a pic in there to remove the seal.
  24. I found out the magnet on the flywheel is not as strong as another flywheel I have but I found out the magnets are made of a different metal than the older ones in a wico magneto so you need a stronger magnet charger. Also on a generator with the gas tank on the bottom how do you replace the tube and filter? I can't tell how you get the hose connection off the tank so you can get to the tube that is inside the tank.k
