Once upon a time there was an old westwood that had been left to ruin in the corner of the workshop which no-one loved it was decided that a heart transplant was needed given that the old one had long since had an arrest and gone bang so work commenced! once the old engine was removed and a few other bits that were past there best were stripped away the hunt for a new motor commenced it didnt take long to find a good donor so there you have it the first instalment of custom hort = messing with the horticultural genepool watch this space

looking at my scrap pile at work that says it all really working on both makes professionally for a main dealer there are far more busted briggs engines than honda on said pile as you said paul if it aint broke dont fix it !

we are getting low now better order some more red tractors!

hi mate just done some digging brimotor are still in buisness they make various implements from gennys to hedgecutters etc the are based at culverden down in tun wells im 99% sure that engine is a motorsaccoshe or mag engine as we more comonly know them

lucky old you ian you could get the engine vapour blasted that will bring it up to an intense shine without much elbow grease on your behalf which means you could spend your time getting the tractor finished

i would agree with nigel on this ian that motor needs polishing and custom paint would be in order it doesnt have to be expensive to be cool

nigel told me about mom when i bought the pacemaker from him that must of been back in may time has flown by ive met some great people along the way and made a few new friends aswell well done chaps

this arrived today sweet little engine not sure what im going to make it run yet something for next years shows me thinks

i finally tracked down a good emblem grass box to go on the old girl from the old auction site it may well be slightly more modern than it was originally supplied with but it is the correct one here is a pic of it
