  1. Slightly off topic but from the same stable as Kelsey Publication, I subscribe to Classic Van and Pickup every month. It's a great read and amusingly written. I have bought the odd tractor magazine when it appeals to me. The last copy of Tractor and Machinery didn't float my boat at all. I will be buying the American Garden Tractors Magazine shortly.
  2. Iain, There's one on that auction site from the USA. Hopefully there might be one in the UK at some point. Still I can plough at the front when there's snow! On a serious note, I can really see the attraction of ploughing; I drove Internationals ,Fords and MFs on farms when I was at Uni and always thought I should have a go at ploughing then.
  3. Hello Nick, I am interested in the sickle cutter. Can you post some photos of it to me? My email is amidgley66@yahoo.co.uk. Cheers
  4. Looking forward to seeing this project progressing. Look to be really sound to me.
  5. I could see myself getting into ploughing myself. I am guessing I need a single plough? How easy are they to come by?
  6. Fantastic video. Let it snow......

    Bolens 800

Hoping to get the 800 delivered NEXT week. Another weekend to get through.......
  8. I can't view the video as it been picked up on the safe guard setting. Will view it tomorrow hopefully before 9.
  9. On the 800 I have a restored deck apparently with 3 rotary blades on it. I nearly bought a rotavotar a few weeks back but I didn't bid enough to secure it. Lesson learnt.
  10. I have just bought a good conditioned snow plough manufactured by Bolens off that auction site for either my Bolens 1254 or my new Bolens 800. I won't be getting them until the end of next week; another weekend without them..... I will post photos as soon as I get them. Now, what else do I need for my Bolens? A rotavator? Or another example from the Bolens range.

    Bolens 800

Hopefully I should have the Bolens here by the weekend. I will then upload some photos for all to see ( hopefully the right way up).
  12. I agree with you; collecting the relevant brochures, workshop manuals etc is just as much fun as owning the machine itself. I have tonnes of literature pertaining to my Morris LCV and I am starting to buy some Bolens material too.
  13. Good to see them having a work out. Good photos.
  14. Facebook! Blimey never thought of looking at that. Look like a good buy.
  15. Look to be in good order. Whereabouts in Cornwall was it? And how did you find out about it?
  16. What's a Gutbrod like to own? I know they come from Germany and they look really well built. Are parts relatively easy to come by? I was tempted to get one myself but opted for a Bolens 1254 instead.
  17. Thanks. I will give them a ring next week.
  18. I am interested in subscribing to this magazine. I have contacted them but they have emailed me an American free phone phone number. Anyone here subscribe to this in the UK? How did you get your payment details over to them securely? Thanks Andrew
  19. Brilliant workmanship. Look forward to seeing it finished.

    Bolens 800

This infatuation of garden tractors is infectious and a serious wealth hazard on my wallet! One must resist temptations said the Bishop to the actress.....
