Triumph66 reacted to Hillsider in Ultrasonic cleaner

I have a 2.5 litre cleaner as the attached link and I have found that it is just the right size for occasional use on most small engine carbs without incurring the expense of a larger perhaps more commercial machine, you would certainly struggle with a smaller capacity tank size. And a heated tank is a useful bonus.
Interesting point about the effects of U/S ceaning on bearings I had heard the tale of vehicle wheel bearings suffering from Brinnelling during rail transport but not heard of this effect before.

got some work on the ranger today, seat on, outside pics with juliette and got the deck adjuster but the split pin won and the angle grinder was the only way it was coming off.

It's good to dream but you have to remember the picture was taken nearly 50 years ago and she may look a bit different now. Not sure I want to track her down and ask he to model that outfit

Triumph66 reacted to expeatfarmer in Ransom dozer/digger.
A few more tweaks on the digger today, Titch made me some decals for the Ramdozer which I spotted on an old brochure.
Not that I am that old but I do find it hard work moving dead machines and working on them so today I set up a new toy to make life easier and hopefully let me carry on playing.
I also managed to get my 1952 MG5 running nicely and have now placed it on the for sale page.

It sounds like a keeper to me otherwise I would have already made an offer. I am sure it would look better on the back of one of my Bolens

Andrew,
I rang Mark last night, he says he can take some pics but as its a bit buried at the back of the shed you may have to wait a short while
It / was in full working order when he last had it running.
Its got a Lawson engine fitted which all that needed was the points cleaning & some fresh fuel to make it run
He has got a deck for an Estate keeper which came with it, the lady who he brought it off wanted rid as it was her late husbands.

Triumph66 got a reaction from OldBuzzard in Howard Bolens Cylinder Mower Attachment
I have caused quite a stir on the U.S. forums, namely GTtalk, with the Howard Bolens Cylinder Mower attachment. It seem that they have not come across this type of rear PTO driven cylinder (reel) before. I have been asked to take some detailed measurements and take better photos of it for the archives!

Pure porn for them then!!
Maybe its an approved attachment which was not available in the US??
Howard were importers for the UK, thats why my 1886 has a Howard Bolens sticker slapped over the original transfer

I would not be too surprised if the mower was still in good shape, after all it is a Bolens. I will leave others to pass judgement on the lady.
I wish I had not seen this, I really want one now (the mower that is).

Bet the mower & the lady are not in that good shape now

A mate of mine has a lawn keeper, its all there if I remember. I have seen it.
It did come with a spare bare new deck which we worked out was for the estate keeper.
I think I saw yours on the net??
