Located in West Stoke, Chichester, West Sussex on September 6th-7th 2014, we got to experience some old fashioned harvesting, and some other interesting vehicles
I didn't take any photos of The Villagers' display. You guys know what that looks like
-
I got a message on Youtube from a certain UkWheelHorseBloke, about some pictures of our toys at Ringmer 2014. Suggested we took a look. Now it's a daily thing to check
-
Almost went there this year, but decided to support the local show. Looks like a lot of cool exhibits and displays!
-
Thanks Ian, the first time the Eron has been out of its owners workshop since he bought it
I'm pretty sure we will be at Ringmer again next year, where we actually spoke to Nigel and Chris Sutton before knowing about MOM
-
Love it!
Wish i had an 8ft Landy
-
The Villagers were asked to go but unfortunately we had already committed to attending 'Harvesting The Old Fashioned Way' in West Stoke, Chichester on the same weekend. Laughton does look a great show and we could be there next year!
-
It's an Eron Meroni I believe. A single cylinder diesel, 4 wheel drive tractor, built in Italy. Belongs to a friend of ours who travelled to Belgium to pick it up.
-
Thanks this was just our Villagers display, I have a bunch more pics.A little yeah absolute wash out! And plenty of towing
-
A weekend dictated by sickness and the weather, it didn't turn out all that bad!
-
-
That is a lot of bad luck there
A friend of ours had a Kohler k181 with a cracked carb. It now runs with a Mikuni carb from a motorcycle. He brought the carb from an autojumble for a fiver . Runs as sweet as a nut, but perhaps doesn't look the part

I cant really tell you any more information than the website can http://www.rudgwicksteamshow.co.uk/ and don't let the chaotic website layout put you off. This is a great show, one of the best shows around in our opinion. Always a great atmosphere, tons of exhibits of all shapes and sizes. Tractors and horses will be working the land throughout the weekend, accompanied by the huge number of traders and autojumble there too! There is live music in the beer tent from a number of regular bands. The whole thing is run by an awesome bunch of people, which is great when you are exhibiting yourself, as we are again this year with The Villagers.
Rudgwick is run over the August bank holiday weekend, so there is 3 days to enjoy the show!
-
Thats a really nice machine!
-
The other interesting thing is the starter handle is not there. The shaft for that has been removed and blanked for this application. Suggests there was another way of starting the machine it came off?
-
Hi Neil,
No, it is the Jacobsen three wheeler it came off. The only way I can describe it is, like a Honda ATC with a fairing around the front wheel and the Kohler mounted behind the driver. It also had handlebars.
-
Does anyone have any experience with Peerless 1200 transaxles? If so what is the difference between that and the 2300 series other than the extra gear. Is 1st slower, or is 4th faster? Or are all ratios different?
While we're here, the transaxle came out of a Jacobsen three wheeled tractor thingy, with a Kohler K181 mounted directly above it. Does anyone have info on these? I'm struggling to find any.
Cheers Max

The not-so-stationary, stationary engine
-
Nobody has time for go-pros! An m6 bolt where the tripod mount should be and a length of angle g-clamped to the bike.
-
Some 'onboard' footage
Thanks to Nigel for letting me use his photo as the thumbnail!
-
Motorcycle engine in a tractor, i bet no one has thought of that!
-
Looks as good as ever Ian, hope it handles and drives better for you!
-
Ah, the old Villiers Midget ay?
-
This was our section of The Villagers display.
Noon on Saturday, we took the Atco bike, followed by the steamer towing the soon to be completed Foden to the beer tent.
Which started a trend, only the steam engines got larger.
-
The little grey tractor is a working scale model of an International 8-16, about 1/3 scale.

Wow, this is really neat! You see so many photos and videos taken over the course of the weekend and wonder where they end up. Ian(AKA ukwheelhorsebloke on YT) sent us a link via YT to check the forum out. Ian does such a great job of capturing the whole build of his projects, but we will try to do take some pics and post them here 'cause you guys seem like a good bunch. I'm trying to get a bit of a Facebook thing going for our group The Villagers, who travel to various shows throughout the year. So if your on the Facebooks check out https://www.facebook.com/pages/Villagers-Collectors-of-Stuff/131182450315017 our next show is Rudgwick Steam & Country Show so be sure to keep an eye out for a bunch of yellow t-shirts and pop over for a chat. The pictures and response has been great to see!
Many thanks
